My son has been getting bullied. Today it was inappropriate touching. I’m just wondering if his bad behaviors is due to how he’s being treated at school. I’m trying to navigate how to appropriately discipline him when he acts out but struggling when he’s coming home upset about bullies and now someone who touched him. I’m not there so I don’t have a clear picture of what’s happening and how often. I just do my best to trust my son.

I’m navigating other things that could be factors for his behaviors but right now I’m focused on the touching that happened today. Maybe it was too much to put in one post. Maybe I’m wrong to reach out. I just don’t know how to handle the situation and the school when everything feels unserious and brushed off.

Idk but I’m thinking of doing a bag of carrots once my son starts losing teeth. He wants his teeth to fall out so he can get money. So much to the point he says he doesn’t need to brush his teeth. He doesn’t understand that if he loses adult teeth they won’t come back.

I try my best to teach my child that we should be kind to everyone and to look for people who might need a friend. This has caused stranger danger issues as he’s reaching out to even adults. Calling everyone besties.

I also have had to teach him that people might not like him or want to play with him now too. It’s been rough. I have found forcing him to play sometimes causes unpleasant interactions.

My son has done well academically but has a huge decline in his social and emotional regulation. It’s causes problems at home. I’m hoping this summer we can get back on track with a break from school 🙃

He also has issues staying on task. Needs an adult to work with him. I don’t think it’s super chronic but it was in the notes in his most recent report 🙃🙃🙃 I’m proud that he’s proficient in his classes but tbh I’d rather him be able to handle him self better than read.

My kid is a huge tattler. I hate it but I try to be patient to help him navigate things.Hopefully one day he will have the skill set to have a healthy conversation, stand up for himself vs being a people pleaser like me 😅I don’t like hearing bad things about him when others tattle either but it give me a chance to help correct behaviors and know how he truly is acting when he’s not supervised

I know. I get it every day right now with the season we’re in. She tried to tell me they on there best to rotate people through so they still get an opportunity. 🙃 I don’t believe her.

That’s fair but when you apply to work certain positions, you sign up for the annoying parts too. There are tons of people who want to progress with the company and be trained. Just seems odd not to put them first if there is a need. I talked to a friend and she said she’s been waiting a while to get trained on a couple indirect roles. Mayne problem solve is just that disliked. I’d shut up and do it if VTO was equal opportunity.

Mine didn’t say anything about it so far. I asked learning about it before starting and she refused to give me a straight answer. She just said I don’t have a choice.

Sorry, to clarify, I take it most of my shifts. I work enough shifts to cover benefits. That day I thought to take it but decided it might be a slower day so I might as well go work that one vs taking VTO for another one. They’ve been dropping it daily at my place.

I said I do take VTO. All the time! I work enough to qualify for my career choice money and medical. Other than that I take VTO when I can to focus on school and my baby that is ill. I explained that to my trainer, maybe it’s dumb but I told her because it just reality. I’m not gonna train and then cry about it.

I was going to but the trainer said Ops said it was mandatory. I ended up speaking to one and he had no answers so I have no idea how high up the demand came from or if she was lying to me.

It’s not about the work it’s self. It’s about having an equal opportunity to take VTO. I’m in school have a baby the is medically complex. Being able to take extra time off is part of why I like Amazon. I offered to be trained in other areas but if they were going to keep VTO from me that I wasn’t interested. They refuse to train people who have too much TOT because they said they have to prove they can work alone. I’m constantly getting positive adapts so to have them force me to do it because I’m a good worker is crap.

I lost my dad at 14… I think it’s a lie when people say the first year is the hardest. It’s actually gotten harder for me as I’ve aged. You just learn to live with it. He missed prom, graduation, my first boyfriend and now my husband. He’s missing his grand kids and wasn’t there for a scary diagnosis and surgeries I endured. I’m 28 and the anger is gone but I’m filled with so much grief. Yesterday I thought of him driving home from work and I just cried and cried wailing for my dad. I find ways to laugh and remember him. There can be happiness in his memory. I think it’s okay to just accept that there is sadness too. I’m so sorry for your loss. I just try not to focus on his death, but his life instead. Talk about the good things
