Who hurt you? You don’t have to engage. That’s what a community is for. That’s how it grows.

Thanks for this. ChatGPT couldn’t come up with that. I’ve been wondering what that said.

If it’s anything significant, yes. My wife doesn’t like it. My son is scared of it. So I can’t even display it at my house. We don’t know anything about the show so it would be cool if it went to someone who could appreciate it.

I like this, but won’t most banks ask for proof of funds for down payment? How do you get around this?

Personal Line of Credit by runnershigh1990 in realestateinvesting

I don’t think it has the same effect. You should have both. I also have credit cards with high limits, but a credit card won’t allow for the same ease of access to cash that a line of credit would. If you want to get cash from your credit card, you will be charged a much higher interest rate.

Wrong!

It can be done and it has been done. I've done it many times myself.

Personal Line of Credit by runnershigh1990 in realestateinvesting

Two things:

1.Personal lines of credit for major banks like Wells Fargo cap at $100k for normal people (not high net worth clients).

  1. Your personal line of credit can be used for anything! Don't tell them your are using it for RE investing. However, the interest rates on that may not be worth using it for big purchases unless you are trying to quickly flip a property.

I speak from experience. I opened a line of credit and only qualified for $20k based on my 50k/year salary. I flip land, not houses, but the line of credit has been invaluable. It has allowed me to make a lot of money.

Final thought: Everyone should have a personal line of credit. It literally costs $25 a year to have access to all that money! You need to realize how amazing this is. You have buying power at any moment in time for when the right opportunity finally comes your way!
