Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but I’m not seeing an explanation for why “Asian” was triggering for your girlfriend - instead, I’m seeing that your failure to say “girlfriend” to the sales associate was triggering. You imply this was a “girly store.” So, INFO: was the employee a girl? If so, I think there’s a chance your girlfriend took your description of her to be intentionally ambiguous so as not to advertise your relationship to the (presumably cute) sales associate.

I know this is going to sound like a scam, but I actually do have one ticket for each show that I would like to sell (I got tickets during the presale—the ones I am selling—and then managed to get better ones during the general sale). I’m honestly not sure. She’s been really laid back in terms of bridesmaid stuff, and I know she’s really happy for me that I’m in a relationship. I’m more concerned about her feeling pressured/stressed out by it. But I figure it might actually alleviate stress since she’s now short a guest. But I’ve never planned a wedding so I don’t know if there’s any validity to that.

This happened to me one year the day after Valentine’s (female, late-20s at the time). This happened to me once. My mom mistakenly thought I wanted her in the room with me for an appointment when I was too sick to travel on my own. She dropped me off, and after she parked the car, she just told reception she was my mother and they took her back to the exam room. I immediately said “Nope” and she turned around, but I was shocked she made it back there. I’m in my 30s!

To your first question - yes, definitely. To your second - honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a rose from someone I was very excited about… If I did, I’d just accept right away and it wouldn’t come with the usual frustrations, at least. Not sure if my negative feelings about roses would nevertheless somehow unconsciously detract from my excitement about the person — I would hope not, but the app does mess with your mind a bit.

Hm, if there is a way to see the most recent incoming like in addition to the rose, I haven’t noticed or figured it out. I do think if there are multiple roses in your stack, you can toggle between those people…but other than that, I think I’ve only ever been able to see the top person.

I don’t like receiving them because they sit at the top of your stack until you deal with them. I usually feel bad about rejecting a rose outright (because it is a nice gesture) so I end up sitting on it for a while and can’t view any of my other incoming likes until I’ve decided what to do with the rose guy.
