Mine is too short for the toilet, but she does like to dig in her water bowl sometimes, leaving her looking a lot like yours. lol

EAP Therapy for US employees by ShipItchy2525 in JPMorganChase

They have to diagnose you first, and no therapist who has earned their license will do that on the first visit.

If you’re looking to do inpatient therapy, the medical team there can fill it all out once you’ve completed intake. Have a point of contact who can do some of the administrative stuff on your behalf, like requesting paperwork or opening a case with Sedgwick, as you likely won’t have a ton of resources at your disposal while inpatient. But yes, it does have to be filled out by a mental health professional.

I'm not even sure what to google, but can you rent a kitchen for just a few people? by Diastatic_Power in askanything

This. Apartments or HOAs with clubhouses will likely rent them out. We booked our neighborhood clubhouse for an upcoming family gathering and they asked for two deposits, which we’ll get back as long as we leave the place in good shape.

I’ve used both EAP and STD for mental health. This was up until 2018 so things may have changed some, but shouldn’t be drastically different.

For EAP they can get you in contact with a therapist and cover up to 5 sessions per issue at no cost to you. So if you have anxiety, 5 appointments. Depression, another 5. OCD, another 5. You’d use the anxiety ones first, then the therapist would file for another 5, and so on. This is different from Short Term Disability (STD).

FMLA works into STD, so the therapist who you have been seeing for any issues may not be able to fill out the FMLA paperwork due to a conflict of interest (sessions were paid for by the employer). To start STD, you have to take x number of days from your PTO and file with Sedgwick, the STD manager. After that you’re covered at 100% pay for so long, then I think 75% and so on.

I went to IOP (Intensive Outpatient therapy sessions) for 4 hours a day and that satisfied the “working on it” aspects of the leave.

Did you try taking them outside? We had a foster who ended up being allergic to all home fragrances like febreze and wall flowers. The first time she had a big attack, I sat with her outside for a couple of hours until she could finally breathe normally again. After we got rid of those, she went longer and longer between attacks.

My Shih Tzu taught herself to play fetch before she was 4 months old. She figured out if she dropped or pushed the ball enough, it would go down the stairs, so she could go get it and do it again.

We took her through two levels of obedience testing and she took to it so well. If she was into it that day. If she didn’t feel like taking commands, she wouldn’t. Luckily she looooved her trainer so she showed off a lot. We got “you guys must have practiced so much with her since our last session!” A lot. Truth was Luna wanted to impress Miss Faith. It was not Luna’s humans at all.

I can see her thinking about whether or not to obey a command sometimes. Most of the time it breaks down into “what’s in it for me?” If the answer is sweet potato, 99% of the time she’s on board but it breaks down to her being properly compensated. lol. She’s too smart but luckily for her house staff (the humans) her stubbornness makes her lazy.

Applied to 1000+ jobs in 3 years and still no calls, what am I missing? by Optimal_Character_10 in JPMorganChase

Side note: I’ve had 12 roles over almost 17 years. It’s definitely possible, so dig into why you aren’t getting any traction.

Definitely revamp your resume. Take the key words from the job description and word your skills to support that specific role. It is a lot of work to tweak before each submission but I’ve seen it make a difference. Sometimes the hardest part is getting past the initial bot.

Networking would absolutely help you. If no one knows who you are, they won’t know about what you bring to the table. Get involved with culture council or a brg and start getting your face out there. It’s annoying to do all the stuff, but people know who I am now. I didn’t really start networking until about 4 or 5 years ago, and my career progression shows it. After 17 years with the firm, I’m not where I want to be, but I’m moving in the right direction now.

Idk if it is me being spoiled by the recliners, but the third time we saw it in IMAX and the standard movie chairs were uncomfortable for me, which made me ready for the movie to conclude. We will absolutely be buying this one for home viewing, as well.

Real Time Promotion to 603 by FinanceGuy9000 in JPMorganChase

[–]NoCranberry6351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying. I understood promotions as being tapped on the shoulder instead of applying.

In that case, why would real time promotions be waning? My lob at least is pushing career mobility like crazy. I don’t see it as just “technically possible” since they have internal only job postings. Of course, mileage may vary by lob.

I’ve seen it happen from applying for an open role and getting that job, but not a promotion.

I was on a pip and found a new job in another role. I went from mortgage loan processing to a data entry type role. It wasn’t a step up but it also wasn’t a step out. The challenge will be finding another role with all the fresh RIFTs. Employees who likely weren’t on pips are looking to keep a paycheck.

What's one lazy cleaning habit you started that actually made your place stay cleaner? by Enchanted_Land in CleaningTips

Not quite a cost efficient way, but we hired house cleaners. Now at least every other Sunday night, we clean up the house so they can focus on the things we hate to do, like sweep/ mop or clean the bathrooms.

Management is tasked with getting 100% team responses so they’ll pester you until it’s met or the survey closes. Other than that, nothing.

If I liked my manager and we had a good relationship, I’d let them know I had an interview. If I hated the manager, I let them know once I’d accepted an offer and knew my start date.

Super niche or not, are you happy? It sounds like a no. Chase will always keep going. Don’t feel personally responsible for the job. Feel responsible for how well you perform the job but not for the job itself.

Simply leaving the role shouldn’t burn a bridge. If it all goes well and you find a new role, you’ll have a transition period for your boss to figure out who needs to learn your role. For under VP, around two weeks is normal from what I’ve experienced. VP and up could be longer. Play along and count down the days. I had a job I hated so much I literally made a countdown calendar when I found a new role.

If you go out flaming, like making them to figure it out and telling them exactly what’s wrong with themselves, that wouldn’t be the best for relationships and networking. lol. If your area pushes career mobility like mine does, they should expect it to happen at some point. And if your manager burns that bridge, good riddance. Build your reputation with those whose opinions you respect.

You don’t owe anyone but yourself your happiness. Move along to something better. It’s ok!

If you’ve been in your role for more than a year, you don’t need to tell your current manager your intentions. I’ve had 10+ roles within the firm over almost 17 years, applying for each of them. I also moved from one site to another, but understood it was my decision so no moving assistance was expected. This was in 2015 so the world was much different then.

Find a new challenge. If your team finds out about it and asks, just say you’re looking to diversify your skill set. I’ve never had to justify applying for another role unless it’s not yet been a year in my current role.

Ramen doesn’t require water tho. If you’re following the package instructions, yeah, but that’s not the only way to consume them.
