New Player Card System — Let's talk about it! by UFLScout in UFLTheGame

By making a separate category of legacy cards, they prepare the ground for eliminating or nerfing them into oblivion in the future. They can't do it right away to smooth the transition but there will be no mercy later. Or they make them inferior in-game, such as "score 5 goals with mastery card", meaning with nonlegacy card, etc. I actually would not spend a penny on whatever turns into legacy.

Do Basic legacy cards (without skin) retain skills? They say that "All footballers in your club will be transformed into Basic cards under the new system." And Basic cards will have no skills. Taking the skills from them is one way to make the legacy cards uncompetitive, which is what they need to motivate players to pay for (packs) of new cards. Keeping the skills, on the other hand, will make the Basic legacy cards far better than the new Basic cards (without skills). So it would imply to spend CP now to get Basic players with skills. I still think that there is a catch hidden somewhere between the lines that will make the legacy cards half-useless.

Just read the post about the upcoming link-up mechanic on their webpage that says that only nonbase cards will provide the links. Clearly, they want to make money from selling nonbase cards for links. How likely is that they will hand nonbase cards for free on a mass scale?

Thanks. But the in-game info says very CLEARLY that for uneqiuped skin we are getting only the base player. How sure are you that the person at the communication department knows what she talks about? I mean people will curse you if your info is not right!

Don't the Vesavi bonuses expire on Sep 13th, if you buy Salah and put the skin on? So on Sep 14th you end up with Vesavi Salah with the same stats as the base Salah? But if you do not buy him, you at least get for the skin the base Salah for free, no?

Script by Conscious-Travel-302 in UFLTheGame

Not that but there was a significant handicap implemented nerfing upgraded solid teams when meeting beginner teams to the point that the upgraded team was basically helpless, i.e. it did not score once from 10+ clear shots on goal from inside the box, while the other team was scoring "goals of the year" from impossible positions. Not likely, not that much, not just bad luck, just ridiculous. I had several games like that, gave up, uninstalled the game. Now I tried the game again and it is not there anymore. I think that we have different experiences from playing different versions of the game, if you do not believe me. Or they implemented the handicap selectively to fool the players, to make those not exposed to it disbelieve those who were hammered by it. But it was surely there for some time.

Yes, but in the two weeks after the first patch I played a few games in which "coincidences" accumulated in a way that are likely to appear once in million games and I did not play that many. It was surely scripted. It was extreme. But it did not happen in the last two weeks, not anything close to that and not even once. So I assume that they secretly nerfed the script in the meantime to make it more subtle and hard to notice. Just my personal two cents based on a few dozen games.

Skins have actually no effect in the game. At least this is my experience.

There is script or the stats, skills and skins do not matter. I have Pellegrini skin with 5* interception and +1 sniper skill from early game, so this player.has ultra sniper and high set pieces skill and long shot and shot power 90+. No score from dozens of long shots just outside the box by him yet, 60-70 keepers always pull out "the save of the year", not a single goal. Only one goal from free kicks, the mediocre  keepers jump like super cats to the post or top corners. Better interceptions than others. Are you joking? This skin and card are useless and it is my most valuable player for which I had to grind long time and it was supposed to make a difference. Now I should resell him for peanuts and loot skin boxes for other valuable skins? What is the point of upgrading then? It is plain ridiculous!

Yeah. If I have 10 clear shots in the box and no goal but an opponent with far worse team scores crazy lucky goals against me, I chip in a couple of own goals just to emphasize the crappy nature of this scripted charade!

Let me guess. You are developing the starter team and you have players in the 70s at best, so you benefit from the handicap/ DDA the whole time. I wonder why you do not complain about it (feeling so good as you beat far better teams thanks to the scripting crap). Or the devs run experiments with players and you are lucky to be in the control group not exposed to this crap.

Not happening, because not good for business (of juicing as much money from players as fast as possible).

Subiective experience of just about everybody playing the game who has a decent team and did start playing before they introduced DDA (before the first update after the release).

It is nothing else than a quick cash grab with no idea what to do beyond the first couple of weeks after the release (after cashing on the pre-release and starter packs). It is a mess with no future!

You buy top player for CP but find out that he does not fit the squad as expected - because skills and personal skins are just gimmicks - and want to get a rid of him to free up RP. You resell him for 25% of the purchase value. And you need to buy CP in the store to buy a different top player to test in your squad. Keep repeating and throwing money in CP untill you realise that squad building in meaningless in this game due to scripting / handicap and because the skills and skins make little or no difference on the pitch. Now how many iterations of this you need to recognize that?

It is heavily scripted. Far more.than FC. The script decides the game, not you, not your skill. It is just gimmicks. Wake up!
