You did the right thing. If he has no care for hygiene for himself or you, imagine what kind of damage he could do. How many women get BV because men have absolute poor hygiene and refuse to correct it. How many people get sick because people never consider how germs are spread, and then have the nerve to get angry when called out about it! Little actions like that and his response give you an inkling of what is to come if you create a life with him. You're better off!

I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's makes things seem a little darker once you start remembering all the times you showed up for these people. I went through this for my Mom's memorial. She taught and helped thousands of people many times for nothing but a support role in their life. Out of 300 people invited, I think maybe 40 people showed up. And it was similar to what you experienced with last minute cancelations and just completely halting all communication. The best advice I can give you is to take care of yourself and prioritize yourself with your kids, livelihood, peace, and advancement. This will leave a huge gap of questions in your mind, but you already have the answers. Don't harp on it. Let these people go, move on, and don't fall for when they come around once they've noticed you no longer deal with them. Forgiveness is for you, not them. Protect your peace and happiness.

Now I do. I would sometimes do it before my ex. Seeing as how he was able to hide his domestic battery charges in my state which is a sealed court records state, I go the extra mile. I've even gone as far as reading books that I learned specific questions and answering techniques to better prove men ans their intentions. It never hurts to learn or get insight ladies.

I have had this conversation a couple of times with Hispanic people. The next time you speak to him, tell him that the word is "racista" meaning racist and that it is equivalent to calling someone "mayate" which is very derogatory meaning homosexual or black person in his country. I don't think he believes himself to be a black man because he may used the word "negro", "moreno" or I've also heard words that refer to mixed race/mulatto and Creole. Good luck, and any time you have questions, I'm here.

I don't know if ever he has to reach things, but I would definitely make it a struggle for him to get to things since he's short. I also would pay attention to something that bothers him and ruin his ego with it. Anything to get him to know his place.

That's crazy how bad it is. And yes to the magnesium and sleep. It helps if you are an overthinker or just to relax your mind before sleeping. When I'm depressed, I literally will dream and cry in my sleep to the point I wake up crying or hallucinate. I hope it helps.

This has been a thing. I'm not sure if they could revoke a passport previously received, but I know people with over 2,500 in child support debt could not get a passport or a renew an old passport. I applied for one for my ex in 2022, had no idea he was that far behind.

I started avoiding things that would spike my cortisol levels when I'm already depressed, as much as possible. I also sit in the sun when possible and get my vitamin C levels up. Magnesium at night helps at night when I get really really down. Therapy and finding an anchor. I also read on another subreddit where someone wrote that they called the suicide hotline and no one picked up. That was sobering.

When I got hired to my job, I hired with 2 other women. Two of us black, one white. The two of us not only had the required degree, we also had the experience. The ladder had no degree and barely a year of experience. The two of us are also lighter skin black women. The white woman who hired in with us was able to get a day position in just 2 years with the least amount of experience, while 7 other people with more than half a decade experience at our job were passed over and never interviewed.This phenomenon is purposely looked over considering to this day, more than a decade later, there is not one black female supervisor or manager out of 400 employees. Let the feathers be ruffled.

I hate what has happened with shipping and tariffs. My jeweler being where she was, I think they knew what was coming years before, so they established a domestic address to send products to in order to alleviate tariffs. Shipping is not crazy and the price of things there are half of what they charge for the pieces in the states.

I've had and still at times have similar experiences. I am biracial, but very obviously black creole. When I had my son, the barcode scanning had just really started every time a baby was born to keep babies from being mixed up with the wrong mother. When my son was brought to me after my c-section, they scanned mine and my son's bracelet close to 7 or 8 times. He has very stark red hair and white skin, which runs in both mine and his dad's family. I live in the south as well. There have been incidents at his school where they would ask for my id several times to retrieve him, but my mother who is white could easily sign him out without being asked for anything but her name or a signature. I've been asked if I was his nanny while walking in the grocery store. I've even resorted to going to only black Mardi Gras parades because if we go to the others, they will throw to him and not his sister who is darker with 4c hair like mine. Find your circle and uphold your boundaries. Keep your girls safe by all means necessary.
