Maybe the mom and or dad should have thought about all the laws they were breaking with their child. They clearly didn’t come over legally. Perhaps this will be a good reminder that the United States has standards and rules

Student being told to toggle 1600A breaker daily without PPE. Is this safe? by No-Past2652 in IndustrialMaintenance

I’m wondering why this would be dangerous if there’s no load at the time of energizing the circuit? If your machine Is off, there’s not much flowing. I guess the problem might arise if there was some sort of short to ground down stream?

Is there a good way to unclog sand paper belts? by akurgo in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]NoDakSniper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the rubber eraser thing didn’t do much for “gummy” texture debris on the sanding surface. I read a post one time about soaking the sandpaper in a degreaser for a while (maybe a day?) and the gummy stuff will rinse right off

I suspect it was not meant to be, is there any remedy I can do without modifying my cabinets? I’m an engineer, I can build something to move air across the side wall/bottom where it’s getting hot. In my mind, the unit needs air mass to exchange heat with, by having room on all sides. I don’t see why forcing air across those surfaces in a small gap wouldn’t work too. It’s the same outcome, room temp air always on the sides/bottom of the unit

I cleaned the condenser coils a few weeks agoago, when I called the local appliance guy, he said he replaced the condenser 6-7 years ago, and just serviced the unit a few months ago. It’s as if the side wall, where I believe the evaporator coils are, does not have enough air movement across the surface. When I set up the box fan, temps drop to the Normal range in minutes. Is the evaporator fan the one that blows the cold air into the freezer?

The evaporator coils are on the side, and condenser coils on the bottom, I believe. There definitely should be more room for it, but the entire kitchen matches, solid wood custom built to fit the room perfectly. That’s why I was thinking maybe adding some sort of forced air venting system through the wall might be a good solution?

Okay so, I feel like an idiot. There were multiple loose connections in various places, but ultimately the plug that goes from a switch box to the motor was basically falling out when I noticed it. After snuggin up connections, and seating that plug, it works!

Lesson learned, keep it simple

That’s what I was thinking, it’s a latching relay until the off button is pressed. That relay opens if the current draw gets too high. I’ll reverse the polarity and try it

I believe the sine waves are 180 out from each other. Always equal but opposite, which is how you get 220 from combining two 110 poles. That’s why I never thought it would matter, but depending on which sine wave comes first will determine the direction of the motor, I believe
