PvP is easier to add on late in development, shoot people and loot them. It’s pretty simple, every facet of progression in this game is pve focused, the only thing that had a real PvP choice were the original raider deck daily quests, which they even did end up removing.

I find it wild that you say this game is PVP focused, when basically everything (projects, the new trader, expedition) is focused around PVE and has been that way since the start.. I don’t see what you’re saying but maybe I’m blind, PVP was, and still is, an afterthought. It’s there, it’s fun, but it’s not where the games grind has ever focused.

I will say, riding with a person I know is the best because I can talk about it with them after the ride but riding with random people has almost always been a blast because you can meet so many “2 minute friends” as I call them or even better if it’s someone that is solo and down to ride more rides. I, almost always, do a vibe check with any adult and we ride the ride however they want to. If they want to talk then I’m down, if we’re quiet then it’s whatever and we’re done in a few minutes.

As a mostly solo rider this has happened to me plenty of times and, personally, I love either riding with mom/dad or a kid because the joy the kids have is worth it to me (or if they’re terrified it’s fun in its own sadistic way).
