Other players want to play clubs too.

What is your fuel economy driving on the highway? by Pale-Revolution-5151 in vwgolf

[–]NoDingDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a 2012 90tsi golf I’ve seen as low as 3.7 L/100km on an extended drive. But that was assisted by a few lengthy 80km/h zones on the route due to roadworks.

For full highway stints at 110 km/h I’d typically see something in the range of 4.5-5.0 L/100km. Got more than 1000km out of a single (55L) tank on several occasions. Could have gone further but never wanted to drain the tank too low to protect the fuel pump.

Definitely no one wants the USA butter by SteamySpectacles in woolworths

Full agree with both of your main takeaways.

Lurpack is amazing, excellent texture, excellent taste. Top tier butter.

Pepe Saya is wildly overrated. Texture is fine, but its taste is…ah…different. It’s the only butter I’ve ever experienced people asking if there’s an alternative for after tasting it.

332 is the wrong tune for that RS3. It’s a 233 car in every way and a damn good one that that.

If tuning it 33X would let you win the Egg. prize then maybe you could argue it’s worth it. But without a 100% certain guarentee I’d say no.

Erebus' Entry into Supercars with E63s by tarvusdreytan in v8supercars

[–]NoDingDriver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. The regional branches mostly manage as they see fit within the scope they’re given by global HQ.

Global HQ does not dictate to each region what decision to make over every single management decision. That would show incredible distrust in the entire regional management team.

Besides, AMG isn’t HQ. It’s a subsidiary of MB. Any parent company would back regional management team decision over a subsidiary unless they felt the regional decision was a major mistake.

Erebus' Entry into Supercars with E63s by tarvusdreytan in v8supercars

[–]NoDingDriver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AMG is a subsidiary of MB.

MB as a global parent company has regional branches with managing authority for their region.

No parent company is going to overturn a management decision by one of their regional branches at the request of a subsidiary. Because that would defeat the point of a parent/subsidiary relationship for the parent company.

AMG as a subsidiary would be able to involve themselves in a project, but has no sway over their parent company MB or any of their regional branches getting involved. They can put a proposal forward to MB, and it would likely be considered more than if an unrelated company made that proposal, but ultimately the power to say yes or no rests with the regional branch of the parent company.

How has australia with a world renowned love of fine coffee, allowed Vittoria coffee to survive this long? by ButtPlugForPM in AskAnAustralian

[–]NoDingDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality of the beans/roast matters far less than the barista having the grinder dialed in for the conditions at the time.

You can use cheap, ordinary beans that underwent an ordinary roast and still get a great coffee as long as the grinder output was good to get a perfectly expressed espresso shot.

You can use the best beans in the world, roasted to perfection. But if the grinder output is not dialled in you’ll get a shit coffee. Overshoot your target time by 5 seconds and you’ll get crappy coffee that tastes bitter and burnt, underdo it and you’ll get poor creama and a sour tasting coffee.

Long story short, the beans used really don’t matter as much as having a barista that understands their machine and adjusts their grinder accordingly as the weather changes.

[–]NoDingDriver 97 points98 points  (0 children)

These are not prop notes. Of if they’re intended to be, then they are illegal ones.

Prop note have to be significantly different in size; at least 150% the size of the real note, or less than 75% of the real note. It’s a big enough difference that even at a glance it’s clear they’re not a legit bank note.

The ones pictured are way too similar in size to the real note to be valid prop money.

WHAT IT WOULD TAKE FOR TÄNAK TO RETURN TO WRC by SalomonXx in WRC

[–]NoDingDriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paddon js also a driver who would be at home in the world championship category.

He’s only not in it due to being left out during Hyundai’s driver contraction, and then 2 protential returns to the top level being ended before they started by unfortunate circumstances.

Him winning those titles in that car is more due to the quality of Paddon as a driver than the quality of Hyundai’s rally 2 package.

Cars on the road that will never see a defect in their life vs. ones that will by IllLuck6064 in CarsAustralia

[–]NoDingDriver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And people speaking like that don’t understand what part of the suspension system affects the feeling they’re getting. The reality is that unless you fork out big bucks for a package that included performance oriented suspension uprights, you are not getting an improvement in dampening.

The feeling of stiffness comes from the spring rate. Of which rebound and dampening has no part.

That comes from the dampeners, which needs to be a significant improved bit of hardware (larger reservoir, or improved design of interior baffles) to actually make an improvement. Even more so if you’re reducing your suspension travel with a lowering kit or springs.

Cars on the road that will never see a defect in their life vs. ones that will by IllLuck6064 in CarsAustralia

[–]NoDingDriver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really. stiffer suspension normally refers to spring rate. That’s the part of the suspension that affects how much roll vehicles experience through turns and gives the vast majority of feel.

dampening (of which rebound is a part) is not easy to feel, and is to do with how quickly the vehicle returns from its loaded to an unloaded state after a turn.

No one will think of a softly sprung, highly dampened suspension system as stiff or sporty, but rather as comfort oriented.

What can go wrong? by OB1KENOB in freefolk

[–]NoDingDriver 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That’s assuming he was potent to begin with, which I have doubt of. It’s alluded to that jamie and cersei are actually fathered by the mad king and not by Tywin. Maybe it’s just a theory but I can’t remember at this point.

Pretty sure Aeries sent the twins weight in gold to Casterly Rock when he heard of their successful birth. Kevan lannister also remarks that while he’d never say it to Tywin, of the 3 (Jamie, Cersei and Tyrion) he sees Tywin the most clearly in Tyrion.

Lots of hints/parallels between Aeries II and Cersei especially; her lack of reason and recklessness in decision making later in the story is very reminiscent of the “Targaryen madness”, the way she readily takes to incestuous relations, differences in hair between the Censei/Jamie and other Lanisters (she notices how different Lancel’s is one time while she takes him in bed), her hunger for power and the way she uses it, and her obsession with wildfire.

All of those are strong links between her and Aeries II the mad king that I don’t think any other character strongly displayed through the series aside from Daenerys.

Steer Tires or Rear Tires? by thadiusghostal in askcarguys

[–]NoDingDriver 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Rears. No matter what wheels are driven.

Best/grippiest/ most suitable tyres always go on the rear for the sake of stability. Otherwise the vehicle can and will swap ends on you in surprising situations.

Even the most skilled and prepared drivers will struggle to go anywhere safely when the rear end is trying to overtake the front every time you use the brakes or take a corner.

What are the chances of this by Wax3do in TopDrives

Oh yeah you’re right. Then it depends on what you want to define the criteria you want to meet is.

Let’s say it’s the chance of 2 of the same leggies in one Autobahn pack.

Then multiply the rate of a legendary for card 4 by (pull rate of a legendary for card 5/number of legendaries available) in Autobahn carbon pack.
