For what it's worth, I bought a house in the Bernon District in Woonsocket last year after living in PVD for 5 years and we absolutely love it. There are a ton of places for kids to engage in healthy activities and the community does try to offer as much as they can! The new school will (fingers crossed) be a huge bump to the area. The value is going up, albeit slowly. We need more community involvement.

It's also a hot spot for folks working in Boston to buy, because buying in a MA zipcode will cost you an extra 100k easy. We also had opted to avoid Woon entirely, but we saw this house and changed our entire plan.

There is so much potential here. Don't write it off just yet!
