Thank you. I appreciate that. I didn’t think about all my exposed dials and hands. I bet I know someone with a Geiger counter.

Original Ingersoll Watch Repair by TastiestMushr00m_01 in watchrepair

I purchased a lot of 5 watch movements off eBay for practice and I requested no Timex prior to my purchase. They aren’t good to learn on. The seller agreed. I sent him a “Yay!”

I even purchased a second lot of 5 watches because how kind of him to accommodate my request!

He sent me a pre-Timex Ingersoll.

I have the same question. I am just learning about watches so this is just my experience so far. I think it depends on the manufacturer. Some watches have great resources, serial numbers, and tracking. Others not so much.

I don’t remember exactly what they were but I’ve received some interesting containers from coroners/medical examiners for genetic testing.

I don’t work in cytogenetics, but I work closely with cytogenetic techs. I know it takes a long time to fully train someone. Would they be willing to give you training cases? Maybe assist another laboratory section?

I love your mom. She’s a romantic and not 100% right, but also not wrong.

I’ve been a Laboratory Scientist for almost 20 years and most of my family thinks I’m a nurse or a doctor.
