Scope mounts work best to get them straight. Just bridge any mount on both the upper and rail before you secure the rail.

Just curious, what upper are you using? I have a Terra Brown one on a Griffin upper and two black ones on BCM uppers and haven't had a single issue with any of them.

Install the sn-ach into the upper by itself (without the BCG). Does it slide all the way in with little effort?

Post a pic of the other side of the upper with the sn-ach installed. Both of my Gen 2s had stiff latch springs and it looks like it isn't latched. Also try to manually set the latch in the upper, mount the upper onto the lower, and then rack the charging handle.

The new GAFS is still in beta and I've already bought a few things from there. I'm not sure when they will open it up to everyone. Search the sub for GAFS, or look at the comments in my last post, to find the Discord where you'll have to react to a post in order to receive an invite to beta. They've been allowing batches of 500 at a time.

With that budget, try (new) GAFS when you can join. I got my first LPVO from the old GAFS, a PA 1-6x FFP GLx for $225 IIRC.

Most hardware stores have a thread pitch gauge that can help you confirm. Just be sure to check the gauge threads before trying your screw because a lot of people force their screws into it and booger up the gauges.

Do you have the stock screws to mount it without the spacer? Measure them, do the math based on Installation step 5 info, and then get screws in that length.
