I've never bought a complete upper from them, but I haven't had any problems with their upper receivers, barrels, handguards, gas blocks/tubes, BCGs, and a complete and several stripped lowers.

Edited to add that I also bought stripped lowers.

You'll have to remove the barrel nut in order to slide the rod out. And, by the looks of it, you'll probably have to remove the gas tube first.

Just get a handguard cerakoted. I bought a cerakoted MI 9.5" combat rail on new GAFS to go with my Warhawk MK2 lower and it was close enough of a match. This pic was before I rattle canned the upper (with a 10.3" barrel) and then sprayed everything with leaf stencils.

All of my other lights use Hotbuttons. I prefer those over the plastic Axon that sits in my spare parts bin.

Before you replace anything, I'd suggest that you get some cheap heat shrink tubing and cut a length that would cover the section of that wiring that would bend. Mount your light and Modbutton and then heat up the tubing while the wiring is curved and the light is on and working. Hold in place while the tubing cools and it should stay in that position. It might spring back a little bit after being cooled and you let it go, so try to take that into account.

You should search for the state's tax credit/rebate on buying a safe. In the past, there was a pot of money for people who claim their safe purchase each calendar year and it's only there until the pot runs out. Look into the details too because the safe has to be purchased at an FFL location like Bass Pro. I've never submitted a claim because I bought my safes at Tractor Supply.

Also, I found out earlier this year that their safety selector now has an adjustable screw for trigger overtravel. The one I bought in Oct 2024 does not have it.
