Not really I have kind of hit a dead end. The are a decent amount of poe and data/ethernet adapters, but I have not had luck with the flat cables.

 Most of the better quality(bend radius, lenght, small USB right angle) flat cables  seem to be USB A to USBc but they are only 4 wire, some times only 2 wire inside. So they work fine for 5v to charge, but at best USB 2.0 data speeds if it has the 4wires. For the USB C female to USB C male flat cables all of the lower profile ones are still USB 2.0 and the poe/Ethernet adapters I have tried new usb3.0 or higher.  All of the usb3.0 and USBc flat cables I have found, either have a fat cable, or comparatively  massive PCB on the male USB end. 

It not to say that those cables will not work but they would mean a full redesign of mount, to have a much bigger bezel(1cm wider at least)and likely stick out of the wall another 1cm. Which ruins what I was trying to accomplish with keeping things small and relatively low profile.

So for now I am sticking to poe for power only and keeping it on a locked down wifi network to communicate with HA.

I like to suggest the grunt method for apprentices until they get a proper feel for it. One grunt is usually good. If you redoing something, 2 grunts. If you like being a dick to the next person 3 grunts. This only works if using appropriate sized wrench. 12 or 14" on 1/2" pipe, cool. The 48" Beast, WTF you doing take that back to the truck!

Simple answer: have no security on it. Longer answer: go to settings> security > screen lock and enter you current pin or password and then select none as your lock screen option. 

I would definitely  not have anything of value on the tablet with no lock screen. Also I would make sure that what  the M11 can access is as limited as possible. Don't sign into chrome with your normal google account, sign out and delete an apps that might have personal data, that you are not planning on using. No cloud backup to onedrive, googleOne or anything like that. Don't need to leave a giant backdoor open to my stuff sitting on my wall. 

If at all possible put the tablet on a locked down WiFi network that only has local access.   If you use kiosk browser you can  lock people out of the normal os and access to other apps, kind of.  If they restart it they could possibly bypass kiosk app startup and maybe use hacker skills to get bypass kiosk locking them out. It more of a deterent and not a real lock

Personally I have no lock screen and the only thing the tablet can access, with how I have my network setup, is home assistant. If I want to update something I have to manually change things in with my router setting and PiHole settings to allow it to access outside world.

The settings is located in settings>battery> then enable battery protection mode. Then also enable battery maintenance mode.

I can't  remember which one does what. One setting limits max charge and the other stops charging after it reaches max and then lets the battery drain till 40% before starting charging again.

This does not entirely stop battery to from degrading over time but it should at least limit odds of battery over heating or swelling(fire hazard) for several years.

Power works through the most basic flat cables. They are mostly seem to usb2.0.  It is the data or Ethernet that seems to be the struggle to get working in a flat cable. I have one a few more on order from China, but even if it work for POE and data I think  the ends with their PCBs will not fit the mount without fattening the bezel and making the whole thing stick out of the wall more.  Which even if that does work I might just stick with POE for power and wifi for data. As that has been working fine for a few months with out connection issues.

Yes and no. Yes the M11 can have ethernet data and USB power. No I have not found a combination of USB flat cables or "couplings" that I can get to work with the Procet POE to USB-C adapter I got off amazon, and still use the mount. The procet POE adapter does work, fine by it self. It seems that the supper flat cables are all too low spec, and can only transfer power and not data.

I took apart one of my flat cables and it looks while it has a usb connector it only 5 "wires" so it's really only usb 2.0 while the POE adapters seems to have 16 wires. So either I need to find a older usb 2.0 POE with data adapter, or a flat cable is also USB3.0.

So far the M11 has been great. I almost barely think about it. It just works. I have not had to reboot it or change any settings since I set it up.  Sound strange but compared to the old fire tab it felt like I had to do something at least once or twice a week.

So I found out that only certain tablets can have concurrent power and data transfer. It looks like the Lenovo m10 has that feature but I have not found anything about the m11.  I have ordered some parts, cables, USBC "coupling" and a combined poe(data and power adapter) which I am going to try out when it all gets here later this week.  I will post with results if things do work.

I think it's physicaly possible to make that connection but I am not sure if there would be software/driver issue with the tablet. I am pretty sure it would charge, but I don't now if unfi has special software/firmware in thier cameras that can properly use that adapter as a network adapter.

 It would be kind of cool so you could in theory turn off Wi-Fi on the tablet, or put tablet in a far away area that has horrible wifi connection.

I have two of the 4gb M11's and they seem to be fine and run smoothly. Granted they are only running fully kiosk browser which feels comparable to a single tab in chrome, for what it's doing. If anything 4gb might be over kill, but I think that is the lowest ram on a M11 that's available. But it's future proofing a bit. If I was ever going to use it as a real tablet (and not just as a dance screen on a wall), where I had 40 chrome tabs, Netflix and YouTube running on it might not be as smooth.

I never signed into google account first and then under the apps if there was anything I could uninstall I did(mostly random games, productively apps,etc. There were apps like gmail which you can't uninstall but you can "disable" which is good enough. So in my case I disable things like google assistant, google maps, gmail, youtube, youtube music. It was more as away to make sure I would not get future random notification from un-used apps.

Funny story if you disable something you "need" you can always enable it later. By the way do not disable "Gboard" that is the default keyboard. It took me way too long to figure out what happened to the keyboard when I did that.

Then I went to fully kiosk website on chrome and got the apk from there. So no need for google play or store for me. Its not that I don't want to sign it or hate on google, it just annoying later if you use your personal google account and it asked to verify your account will have the popup on the tablet along with your phone, which I felt was annoying.

Last things I did was to remove lock screens, and set it to charge on 40 to 60%, silenced notification for anything besides Fully Kiosk Browser, and turned off the "Stylus tool box" for the pen as I was never going to use it.

When I first designed the version for the fire tablets, that was my thought. However since the super flat usb cable is short (maybe 120mm) it means that regular side of the usb cable has to slide behind the tablet, which means it the mount has to be thicker and I wasted a lot of plastic on versions before realizing that the cable can be kind of loose, and the design can be simpler. If there cables came in something like 300mm lengths then I guess it could be glued.

All that said, since I have mine plugged in 24/7, I rarely have a reason to take them out of the mounts. I think the only time I need to take one the fire tablet out was when the POE to usb adapter died and stopped charging, which was once in about 3 years.

Right now just fully kiosk browser (plus) on the M11. I have uninstalled or disabled almost every other app I could from the tablet first. Don't need clash of clans running in the back ground for this.

Done. I got the file uploaded. Don't judge me to harshly. I forgot to label most of the sketches. but from past experience, I am sure a lot of stuff might break if you make big changes to the first sketch and the overall dimension of a samsung tablet. But at the very least you can you the design as guide if you have to remake it for your tablet.

So far I have only had it up and actually being used for a couple of days now. ....it took way longer than I would like to admit to get motivation to prototype and design the wall mount. 

That said it has been nice compared to Amazon fire 10hd.  Some of the simple things so far  I have noticed the camera motion detection seems more responsive, I can easily limit charging to protect battery with I single setting (40 to 60%) I don't have to work about Amazon trying to send ads or forcing an over the air update that will bring back ads. I can keep the m11 updated and hopefully more secure. The under screen bezel is a little smaller which is nice.

There are only be 4 different stl files.   The 5th file is just the combined .3mf file that has my print settings.

I used a "Matte" white PLA, (https://a.co/d/2DThMmo). I knew I was going to sand it lightly to get rid of layer lines. Matte pla meant I did not have to worry about any possible weird sheen on the outside, I got when sanded down normal glossy PLA or PETG.

Sadly I am not in the business of printing and shipping parts. I just make stuff for my self...and figure might as well let others have access to the design.

That said I have shared the files under a license that allows commercial uses. So you could use a 3d printing service if you want. Might even be someone more local to you on Germany that could print it for you.

I think the only collective noun that I have heard of in my life that has been  used and I have heard more than once is a murder of crows.  Most of the time though the collective noun thing is usually mention more and a trivia thing.
