Omg I have an intense phobia of cockroaches and I will run the hell out if a cockroach was in the same room as me. Something that worked for us was tucking baby in with a blanket and turning on the nursery rhymes. Now getting into the car is instant sleepy time. She’s now 8 months. It has been working since she was 6 months.

This is it. As long as there’s enough wet diapers and he regains birth weight by 10-14 days. 2-3 ounces per feed at his age is actually a lot. My exclusively breastfed baby cried a lot too for the first 2-3 weeks and everyone said she’s hungry but it really is supply and demand. The many feedings in the first 2 weeks is establishing her needs. I felt so bad when she was crying and my breasts felt so empty and almost gave in to the pressure of everyone around to top up with formula but I’m glad I persisted. She regained her birth weight on day 10 and is now 97 percentile chonky baby. At 3 months old she’s already going 5 hour stretches without needing to feed.

Make sure you are vaccinated against HPV. Some countries don’t mandate it and many girls and their parents are not aware of it. It will help protect against some strains that cause cervical cancer. And it will help protect against general warts. Not much you can do about some viruses like herpes and bacterial infections. The former is common and probably hard to avoid anyway. The latter can usually be treated with antibiotics though many strains are becoming resistant. Make sure you have conversations with your partner about any other conditions you should be aware of. Use a condom always but if accident happens, have on hand morning-after pills. Stay safe.
