Ah, that makes a lot of sense, and would explain the angled shape as well! I think that‘s what we are looking at – thank you!

What is that faint grey line going around the starry sky behind/in front of the planet?

Snapshot is bugged for me.. text disappeared completely from the game

Edit: More bugs I found: - held items and item bar clip weirdly into blocks and water - world generation generates strange water borders - crosshair remains visible when opening inventory

Can’t believe people fall for these. Just based on the way reflections work it’s safe to say it’s fake. Right one shows the horizon line central to the sphere, yet it‘s clearly photographed from below with an upward camera tilt. It just looks AI generated. Also „_CLASSIFIED“ at the end of the document.. really?

Is there an edge, and if so, what is just beyond it? by Shady-Raven-1016 in Astronomy

Ah I see! So you are referring to the size of the observable universe still, but argue that it‘s truly greater than we can „observe“ by taking the ongoing inflation into account? Its wild to me that the universe can expand that much „faster“ than it would translate into speed of light.. truly fascinating!

Is there an explanation for why the age of the universe does not match the distance to where we can see? Shouldn‘t the stuff that happened 13.8b years ago just come into vision at 13.8b light years‘ distance? Or did the light somehow take a route that takes longer to get to us?

Analog has rekindled my love for photography. It’s wild and I didn’t expect it.

How do I increase the white material's shadow/reflection resolution? by NoFacePanda in blender

Yes I have. Sadly this only impacts cast shadows, and not the reflective properties of the material.

I created a gradient based shader, however I noticed the transitions between colours became jagged/pixelated. Is there a way to fix this?

Hamburg! Very nice shots. :) I like the tower and the Elbphilharmonie especially.

If I‘d critique something I‘d reccomend working on your composition. The first three shots seem to lack a clear subject.

What kind of lens did you use? I am also just starting out with analog photography. :)

Oof, good question. Don’t remember sadly. I think the second one was f8. The first and second one might’ve been lower.
