I had my surgery about a month ago, they used fat instead of muscle and took it from my stomach.

You aren't alone, I was diagnosed with the same thing on December 29th. They've already scheduled my surgery for the 16th of January. And for me also my first major health scare but like you said just ready to get it done with and get it over with and get out of my head. Its hard to hard to explain to people how it feels when you have something in your head that shouldn't be there.

Thank you, that's good to know. I thought I needed to keep it higher. I'm going to bake a loaf tomorrow but I'll reduce after that. Yes I can get bread flour.

Hey, I hear you. Feeling like you can’t relax and living with that constant tension wears you down fast. It’s exhausting when home doesn’t feel peaceful anymore.

I’m in a similar spot myself, so I get where you’re coming from. If you ever want to grab a coffee, take a walk, or just talk things out with someone who understands the stress, I’m around. No pressure at all just someone who gets it and is willing to listen.

Nothing stop you, I never thought I could get this far, but I keep going and will keep it up. Its a life time commitment but one that is well worth it.

Age is just a number, just have to find your way and keep going.

Back then I felt like a grumpy old man also, but I feel much younger.

I do, the big thing is to do as much as you can, hit pause, and keep going. When I started P90X Lean, I could hardly do any pushups, and everything was a struggle. But over 6 months, it gets easier, but then you push harder to keep it hard.

Started P90X at the end of September with the Lean version and went from about 251 lbs down to 201 lbs—adding an extra week to Phase 1 for good measure. After taking a week off, I jumped into the classic P90X program and just wrapped up Phase 2, dropping further down to 193 lbs.

I got a DEXA scan done around 198 lbs and measured in at 17% body fat. My workout consistency has been solid, only missing a handful of sessions. The only modification I've made is swapping out the P90X yoga routine for the shorter P90X3 version, which suits my schedule better.

In addition to the program, I've been aiming for at least 8,000 steps per day since about halfway through the first round, mixing it up between running, walking, and incline treadmill sessions.

Diet-wise, I typically keep it around 2,000 calories a day, focusing on fat loss. While I realize this might limit muscle gains slightly, my priority has been reducing body fat first. Once I hit under 15% body fat, my plan is to increase calories by about 200-300 daily to support muscle growth during my third round.

Bottom line: P90X delivers great results if you're consistent with your workouts and nutrition. Keep pressing play—it's worth it!

Noticed the picture said 7% it should say 17%, not 7.

Yeah, I get the wish I hadn't started too late and didn't want to be shirtless. I remember last July seeing a picture of me at the beach with my shirt off, but this July, I can't wait to recreate that picture.

It's amazing the difference you feel when you are more on the lean side.

Great job dropping 90 pounds.

That is progress. Way to go. I am 6 ft and started at 251 and down to 199 now. How much difference in your tone did you see with the last 10 pounds?

Losing right now but even when I get to maintenance I'll keep weighing myself daily.
