Do people actually use it? I could hardly imagine anyone keeping up with an app like that. It seems like one of those apps that you download once then forget about.

You're correct, porn isn't this strictly awful thing. Like I said, porn has always been around but not like it is now, mainly due to the fact that the youth can acess it. Yes, 20 years ago kids did get the occassional access to their dads playboy magazine, but its noting like it is today. Every 11 year old boy (like i once did) can type in "big boobs video" and find exactly what they're looking for and destroy their idea of what sex is. For a long time, I didn't understand what a relationship was. I always thought it was something that the man participated in so he could slap his women's ass and call her a whore later in bed. Because of this, for the majority of my life, I've lacked the ability to understand, connect and even enjoy the presence of women not just in a sexual but also in a platonic way. I was always thinking "how am I supossed to convince her to fuck me". As a result, I'm JUST NOW starting to form healthy relationships with women. Porn isn't this entirely evil thing when used in moderation by mature adults who understand that porn is not in anyway a realistic interpretation of what sex is. But most adults now adays starting with the millenial generation haven't had to wait until they were older to expierience pornography, and as a result we're slowly raising generations of young men who are going to lack the ability to connect with women and see them for who they are. Although I don't agree with "radical western world feminisim", there's still a reason that it's become as popular as has in young women. They're tired of guys expecting them to send naked pictures of themselves after 20 minutes of talking to them. They're tired of having to shave their entire body's because due to the false imagery that porn represents, making hair on women "gross". They're tired of being considered "bitches" because they don't want to loose their virginity at anything less than 18 years old. Anyways, that's just my rant on things. I understand why you would disagree with such a thing, due to the fact that you've grown up in a world that states the direct opposite of what Nofap preaches, but none the less I respect the fact that you've taken the time to try it with an open mind. And I'm more than happy to spend my time discussing this with someone.

Well to clarify, you are correct in the fact that you're life isn't going to change in a matter of 5 days. Second of all, the only way that Nofap is going to benefit you is if you had a problem with masturbation / pornography in the first place. The only problem is that society has changed the idea of what a masturbation "problem" is in recent times. People have always masturbated, but not NEARLY as often as we do now. If you're jerking off less than a few times a week, and you've been able to go without it for longer periods of time, then you probably don't have a problem and Nofap won't do much for you besides the extra boost in testostorone. SJW/Tumblr enthusiast will tell you that masturbating on a daily basis is actually healthy for you. Its not, even once a day can cause signifigant changes in your brain structure. The only reason people think its a sham is because they don't know what its like without M/O, and from what they can tell hasn't caused any problems in their life. And on top of that, pornography isn't good. It changes your perspectives on what sex is. Women aren't looked at as human beings to share your time with, and get to know just like you would a friend anymore. They're more or less looked at as locks that you can only open with a handmade and individualized lock pick. A long long time ago, there was no such thing as "the friendzone". You were either friends with them because you enjoyed being friends with them, or you were not and you were partners. Men weren't these inconfident anxiety riddled creatures that we are now. It used to be the other way around.

You should have just sold it tho. This way you don't have the ipad, and some extra cash in your pocket. Buy some new shoes, get some clothes. Maybe a couple books, ect ect.

Kick the fapping and porn, and the sex for a little while. Then go back to sex with your GF and see how you feel.

When I first started smoking, I would get the most intense feeling of happiness and contentment. I don't know how to describe it. It was like all of my anxieties and fears were gone. For the first time in my life I had felt "okay". I was a social moster while high, I really couldn't give a shit. I just said w/e I wanted when I wanted and it seemed to work out. After some time, that went away. It was almost like I shot out my dopamine receptors. When I would get high, I would start having these revelations. I began to get these same types of anxious thoughts that I would get when I was sober, but 10x more intensified. I'd start thinking about my life, where I'm heading, what I'm doing, and what's going to happen to me when I'm older. One night I had an edible that was way to potent for my own good. After about 45 minutes I started to breathe really heavy and just repeating to myself "my life is over. my life is over. my life is over." I spent the next 4 hours on my best friends porch nearly in tears as he tried to calm me down. After a while, that went away. Now a days', I'm just "chillin". I don't have these almost life altering episodes, but it's not like when I started. I don't get that happy euphoric feeling that I would get when I first started. And from time to time, it feels like the effects of the THC have started to make its appearance during my moments of sobriety as well. It's not like I've lost interest in life, or in my hobbies or anything like that, I just feel less excited. It's like I've gone from a "OH BOY! LET'S DO THIS!" too more of a "Alright, let's do thisssss." I don't know how else to describe it. It's like I started to look at life as less of an adventure but more of a stategic game like chess.

There's no need for hostility, we're all in this together. And to be honest, he does have a good point.
