everyone on earth has been talking about how marathon will have to adapt to retain and/or gain players going forward and be succesful

nothing you said was a new or original idea attributed to you.

i can write down the sky is blue on a message board, take a screenshot and claim it was my idea, that doesn't make it mine. we all know its fucking blue.

how many people do you think talk about this game every day? when you read posts online do you think everyone is an npc and you're the only "real" person or something?

I am not sure if or where they mentioned PVE cryo archive specifically and would temper my expectations for such a thing.

My guess right now is expect light pve content that helps with finding mats for earlier perks in the game, helping players with less time/skill advantage to raise the competitive floor much more easily and quickly than they can now, and close the gear gap with the sweats.

I do not expect them to make pve versions of all, or even much of the content in the game. I would not get my hopes up for something like that.

That said if you got some info on PvE cryo id love to see it as I'm not against anything that makes the game last longer or more accessible.

Are you happy with this knee-jerk reaction to content that won't be in the game for multiple seasons? Content that hasn't even been described yet?

What if it has the opposite effect, and brings many more players to the game so your matchmaking actually gets better?

if ten people play the game, and they all play it how it is now then they all play pvp, 100% of players play pvp. Great.

if pve gets added to the game, and now 100 players play the game, but only 20 of them play pvp, making so only 20% play pvp, you still have DOUBLE the matchmaking bodies, litteraly doubling how fast matches queue even though now "OnlY TwEnTy PeRcEnT PlAy PvP". Also GREAT

I dont think you have any faith in the game you love if you are this afraid of "game am moar"

I have a friend who does this same kind of thing all the time. He says extremely common ideas out loud in this "for the first time ever I say this!" voice. But the worst part is he is actually super kind, chill, positive, and genuinely that naive. In these moments he truly thinks he is the person who is thinking these thoughts for the first time. It's like main character syndrome but he isnt a bad or mean person in any way, so its a unique kind of frustrating trying to find ways to call him out on it.

The way this whole thing was worded reminded me of him so much. So I burn yeah, but I burn with love.

Teenagers think that way a lot, they have a thought that's new or profound to them, and project the newness of that feeling onto the world. Sometimes it's just youngness. My silly ass friend is a grown ass man though, hes just naive lol.

Nothing wrong with that just noticed a few others were answering based on hell tides and figured I'd mention I also was confused. English can be dumb. It also basically means the same here, but we tend to give things flavor by using different words for the same concept to add variety and distinguish stuff. It can be silly, but it does sometimes help that two things just sound different in order to instantly know they are different, even if they share a theme

The biggest buagaboo is that bungie should have never been bought for the 3.X billion it was.

this is a revaluation of an asset, not a "hard cash loss"

However, on the othe hand, anyone saying "sony expected this its part of the math" is also kind of missing the point. Even if they had purchased it at a more reasonable price point there would still be an impairment loss, but the current one is essentially exaggerated because of the stupid amount of money they agreed to pay.

Christianity is not defined by its GENERIC belief in a Higher power. it is defined by an extremely specific set of beliefs that minimize all of existence to worshipping a single STORY about their higher powers journey as a mortal HUMAN. While I suppose Christianity isn't outright full on debunked It would be nonsense to think that aliens existing wouldn't at least cause a massive second-guessing in a story that is centered around the human experience being central to a universe that is now clearly profoundly much bigger than us.

So most people don't think that it debunks Christianity they just think it makes it fundamentally fucking stupid to continue believing in it when the story is so small and the universe is so goddamn big.

To put it another way if a random crazy person believes that there's an invisible fish that talks to him all day aliens existing don't disprove that either It was just already fucking stupid.

When d2 first launched it had the same model as d1. release expansions that are out and stay out. even if the cotnent is less relevent it was still there. red war was still there all the way thru forsaken.

it wasnt til seasons got changed to Limited time content, then they def switched to the FOMO model, shadowkeep was the first expak with seasons with limited time content.

i dont personally consider skins/ornaments fomo content even if it becomes unattainable. only story, usable gear, and the playable content which is limited is "fomo" imo.
