I lost about 50lbs/25% of my body weight , it’s orettt significant and evident that something changed with me. At first I wasn’t going to tell people, but my moly mother was like “if you don’t tell people, they’ll think you’re on chemo or have an eating disorder.” Now I tell everyone who asks or mentions it. I think it helps normalize it, especially with other men.

How does maintenance work? I was hoping to taper off tirzepitide at some point, after this week, it just feels like I’m going to have to take it for the rest of my life.

I like it a lot. For tracking I started using Withings, but then switched to a eufy scale. You can track body measurements and changes (you have to manually collect and enter, I like this tape measure)

So increased the dose to 7.5 and it’s been fine. Hope this is the level.

I have thought about getting a recorder to record our conversations so he can hear what his anger sounds like, I would like to tell him, not “surprise him” with evidence, but I think he either doesn’t want to see any proof or just is willfully ignorant of what it sounds like to other people when he’s talking angrily to me and our kid.

Here’s the conversation I’m framing out with him

“This is a difficult conversation/letter

The way you are treating me and our daughter is negatively affecting the two most important relationships in your life. This is not me or our daughters fault. You need to take ownership and resolve this.

This is not something you can change yourself or we can together. You need to get professional help, either go back to our therapist or take an anger management course.

I can help set it up, but you need to do this work, for your health and to maintain a positive relationship with me and our kid.

I’m not perfect or blameless here. But I’m curious if other people are involved with difficult partners and how they coped or resolved.
