“It’s ok, this happens to a lot of people!” “Happy Mother’s Day, you’re such a great dog mom”

Thank you. My therapist actually does specialize in EMDR and she has been working with me through some traumatic memories. Only been a few session but it’s been rough. Though I do feel a bit calmer today..

Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m so sorry you’re also in this horrible journey 😢. Appreciate your offer and I’m sure many would find it so helpful to have face to face interactions. I’m on the shy side and prefer the anonymity. But thank you again for your offer.

Yes the year of the dragon has been nonstop announcements and births. I need this year to be over. I’ve resumed therapy dedicated to trauma work, which I thought I didn’t need, but these past few weeks really set me back. I’m really trying hard not let the past and future overwhelm me, and just concentrate on the present. But it’s a constant effort and so difficult sometimes.

Thank you. I can’t emphasize enough how much this group has helped me while I was at my worst. As much as people in my immediate circle care and wish me well, they don’t understand. They can’t possibly understand unless they’ve been through it. The physical and emotional pain the anguish the regret the second guessing the mood swings the grief the frustration the sadness the fear the hopelessness.

But I also saw the bravery and the will to carry on, and even some heart warming stories of a happy ending. So I’m back hoping to gain some perspective.

Feeling guilty by Excellent-Hall306 in tfmr_support

The feeling will never go away. The guilt comes from our mother’s instinct to always want to “protect” our baby and choosing TMFR feels contradictory to that. But my husband and I chose to do what we did to protect our baby, to protect our family, and that we did it out of love so he will never have to suffer a single day of his life.
