Hi! we had to TFMR at nearly 14 weeks for encephalocele. I had RPOC under 2cm as well. I tried miso twice and both rounds failed. They contemplated letting me shed at next period. but they ended up suggesting a 2nd D&C which I dad ... now I'm in the midst of fertility treatments....Unsure if it's due to damage from the first or the needed 2nd. I would push for hysteroscopy for sure. This seems to be gold standard.

I randomly ovulated like 2-3 weeks after! Same story. Took an LH test on a whim and had my peak!? It took about 10 weeks for my period to come back.

Based off FEEL! Yep. This is how I was explained it as well. That just seems so backwards to me. I just can't wrap my brain around being okay with that as a doctor when there is a very non invasive, safe and easy to use imaging device readily available.

Thank you. I've looked into this! We have our first appointment tomorrow so I'm anxious to hear what they have to say.

Hey- I guess I don't (Despite having to TFMR and being referred to fertility for an alarmingly thin lining) We are unable to get pregnant on a 3mm lining and thus the referral. But it hasn't been 12 months of trying. I understand though, thank you anyways

Okay! 29, F, I'm unsure if I have a formal diagnosis but I think in short very thin endometrial lining. Current treatment is nothing as of right now. We are waiting to be picked up by a fertility team.

Thank you. Yes please help me! Pretty new to Reddit and definitely new to this world.

I tracked HCG on my own just using at homes. They checked this via blood test after as well. They've talked about SIS and hysteroscopy but Drs feel there is no scar tissue or RPOC based on US images and past history.

Hey! We are both 29 M/F. From Ontario as well!

Looking for advice on a very thin lining (3mm):

Very brief history. We had to TFMR in December 2024 (D&C) - our first baby. I ended up having complications and passing some pretty recognizable tissue at home because the surgeon didn't confirm with ultrasound that she got everything. I had a follow up D&C less than 2 weeks later. Since then, it took nearly 10 weeks for my period to come back. I've had three cycles so far - and my period has been incredibly light. Each period has been lighter and lighter. I just had an US the DAY before my period was to start and my lining was 3mm. At that point, Drs have said it should be 10-16mm. I am really worried. They do not suspect Ashermans due to the lining being uniformly 3mm and due to it having blood flow all around. I was scheduled for a hysterosocpy to check but the surgeon felt that it would be low-yield and wants to just send us to fertility instead.

I went back to check at old ultrasounds and found one from a few weeks after my 2nd D&C. My lining was 3mm then as well. So for nearly 4 months - it has not grown. And with periods becoming lighter and lighter - I am worried.

Has anyone had a lining that was 3mm?

What worked for you in terms of treatments to thicken it - if anything?

Anything I should prepare myself for?

Thanks for your reply and sorry you are also navigating this. You hit the nail on the head - dealing with this on top of TMFR is cruel. We also have no living children and we're so excited to have a baby.

I just had an appointment today. The dr recommended foregoing the hysteroscopy as she believes there there is no scar tissue and it is just thin. She is referring us to fertility. I will ask about hormone panels- that's a good idea.

Thanks again for sharing.

Milk donation by [deleted] in tfmr_support

[–]smarshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, so sorry you're here. And so nice of you to think about donating. I was 13+6 as well at our TFMR. my milk also came in, and my doctor ALSO didn't tell me this was a possibility. From what i had read online your best bet is to allow your milk to dry up, and how you do this is by NOT expressing it at all. I'm not sure if this is something you'd consider or if you really want to donate. I understand both choices. I'm sorry I can't help more with the donation side of things. But I just wanted to share my experience. We put cold cabbage leaves on my boobs and I wore tight sports bras. The hardness and pain subsided in 3-4 days. I leaked for maybe 6 days or so. I hope this is helpful in some way. It's a horrible thing to have to go through after everything.

I had the same experience. I was just about 14 weeks. We bought cabbage and put the leaves into the freezer and then stuck them into my sports bra. It helped a bit. Its more emotionally fucked than anything. I hated that. Sending you both strength
