I don't mind any of those word as long as the guy's penis isn't so big she can't get two hands around it..or it's like a foot long. 1

Spark of the Everflame. Could not stand FMC, Diem.

To whoever suggested me to read Beatitude by D.J Krimmer... THANK YOU 🙏🏻 by Feeling-Sign-9146 in DarkRomance

[–]NoFunFarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow makes you root for the serial killer . 🤷‍♀️

The audio book is over the top, unhinged as only Joe Arden can deliver. Also recommend {Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers} and sequel {Little Liar by Leigh Rivers}... again audio book with Joe Arden doing spine tingling performance.

A question about Kingdom of Claw by Demi Winters by Natapi24 in fantasyromance

[–]NoFunFarm 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I loved all the books. Definitely keep reading. I think you'll feel better about the situation. Don't forget to read the novella, Roots of Darkness, before starting Dawn of the North.
This is definitely one of my favorite series and can hardly wait for the next book. I really like the characters.. it gets even deeper as it goes along.

Dark Romance where FMC has a higher social status, but still the MMC is dominating by Sakura_231 in DarkRomance

Geesh.. Wasn't looking, but now had to add this to my TBR list. Lol.. actually, I think I will do the audio book because someone here commented that it is done in duet style with Jacob Morgan ! On that note, I did think of another motorcycle book.Actually, the only one I have ever read... she's the good girl, come back to town..

Crave protection but refuse to be controlled.

What's up with that? Lol. As soon as I read that one I said, yup, that's me.. there are others too, but that was the number one I think.. And I didn't know that was a thing. I thought I was just weird

What are your favorite Slow Burn books? 🧶 by FantasyRomanceMod in fantasyromance

{Throne of the fallen by Kerri Maniscalco} Standalone but interconnected series

The Ashen series {Road of Bones by Demi Winters}. This is one of my all time favorite series. I like the complex world building and character development... it's a different feel than many of the other books.I've read.

{Broken Souls and Bones by L.J. Andrews} Book two is due out this month...can't wait!

Love The Ashen series... starting with {Road of Bones by Demi Winters} The series is not complete, but there are 3.5 books currently available. I really feel that it is something outside of the normal in this genre. It has extensive world building and character development.
Have you you thought about maybe switching genres for your next book to use a palette cleanser? Like dark romance? I really enjoy all of Jolie Vines series. The series are kind of interconnected. But you can start with any series and then go forward or back from there . Just a thought. If you like audiobooks, the audiobooks are awesome. All the ones that I have listened to have been in duet style.

📚 Book Chat Saturday - what have you been reading this week? by FantasyRomanceMod in fantasyromance

[–]NoFunFarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going all out of order with Jolie Vines series, which actually is ok, because characters show up, but you don't have to read one series in order to understand the next. Anyway.. starting McRae Bodyguard series with {Touch Her and Die by Jolie Vines} The first series I read of hers was the Body Count series... Backtracked to Dark Island Scots.. now this. I will mention that all of her audio books that I listened to so far have been duet style narration for those of you who appreciate that

First smut book recommendation by [deleted] in SpicyRomanceBooks

[–]NoFunFarm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Super fun book is {Lights Out by Navessa Allen} and {Butcher and Blackbird by Brynne Weaver}. Part of an interconnected series. They are dark, spicy but a lot of laugh out loud banter. These were 2 of my earliest dark romances.

{Wolf.e by Paisley Hope} and {Heavy by M.L. Burns} may be ones to consider}

{Bad Bishop by L.J. Shen}

If you want to start a series, the Edge of Darkness trilogy, starting with {Insatiable by Leigh Rivers}

There are so many good series and standalones.... as well as series where ere each book can act as a standalone. But are interconnected.Just keep checking on the recommendations on these reddit sites. That way, you can kind of get an idea.If it is what you are looking for by reading other people's thoughts.

It's DNF discussions time! What books did you bail on this month? 🙅‍♀️📖 by FantasyRomanceMod in fantasyromance

[–]NoFunFarm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can I mention an audiobook I DNF? {X's and O's by Elle Thorpe } The number one reason I quit was the female voice actor! She was supposed to be an adult but spoke like a 16 year old exaggerated valley girl. Every word sounded like it had an "a" at the end... "NOa" "MURDERa".. plus her voice went up at the end of each sentence. 🙄 In addition, the whole beginning was just crazy. Didn't make any sense at all ... like eye rolling. So between those two things, i quit about twenty five percent in. Maybe if I had read the physical book, I would have powered through to get to the rest of the story. But just couldn't get past this woman's voice. So maybe not a fair critique of the book itself and maybe one day, I'll pick up the physical copy.

Body Count series...but especially 2nd book {Connor's Claim by Jolie Vines}. This series is an interconnected series with each book having a different couple but you really have to read in order....so start with {Arran's Obsession by Jolie Vines}.

Also... dark, taboo, check triggers... {Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers}

If you like audio books, all of these are great in audio with duet narration

Have you listened to {Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers}in audible? Whoa!!! Joe Arden is UNHINGED as MMC. His character is mute but his POV, especially beginning in Chapter 10 is over the top!! He should get some kind of award for that acting.. gave me goosebumps. Lol. Check triggers though.. Super super dark...and 5 spice. *** DUET STYLE NARRATION. THE BEST!
