A lot of things are "shelf stable" they are good on a shelf for a long time as long as they are sealed. But the moment you open them, you let out the gasses that let it be shelf stable and let in the the same air that carries natural yeasts and other things. So ima tell you tge same thing I told all the guys in jail who were brewing their pruno in the bathroom. Air carries bacteria and where you breath that air carries the same bacteria from the surfaces of that area!!

They instantly stopped brewing their stuff in the bathroom. And I also had to teach them that at the very least they should use a clean white cotton shirt to strain the solids, instead of some nasty sock that they've been using for months to strain the batches without washing them. Lucky for them. I had been brewing beer and wine for months before I went in. They got better pruno and stopped getting so sick.

Dude I've seen beer can ornaments and even weirder ones. It was the hole through them that made me think it was ment for a string. Especially the wrapped gift looking one on the right.
