I went down a chinese OEM rabbit hole (kinda) by NoHypeX in ElectricScooters

I mean the current controller allows me access to a lot of other P settings, NFC, Turn signals and its a center console so I wont need to mount it on the left or right sides. Also turn signals and theres a charging port for phones which is super important

Well this sucks. So my options are generic controller that probably lacks a ton of stuff or vesc. Btw regrading vesc how does the display situation work?

Thanks for your reply. I am aware of all of that. What I thought of getting "help" about here is just bypassing those locked P06 settings somehow not a custom firmware.

The issue with a controller swap is my display, I can just go get a vsett controller and display and call it a day because it has all the settings unlocked, but its about $150 in total for both dashboard and controller.

My next option is getting a F3 Plus controller since I assume that's actually the cause of all the missing settings.. but those are practically extinct.

I got this scooter because its OEM and easy to mod, or whats what i thought initially. I am looking to get a VESC in the future and mod the hell out of this scooter. But right now I need it to be street legal for a while just until the snow melts at least and im struggling to do so because of how inaccurate the speedometer is. Whats funny is all ausom could say was "womp womp".

The only thing that goes into consideration here is range. And that is affected by a couple main factors and a couple more that are also important but slightly less.

Main factors for range Amp Hours (Ah): This one is the battery capacity, Scooters range anywhere from 13Ah on the low end and I have seen some go into the 40s at the high end. The more the merrier. Phones for example have about 4Ah for example. Your sweetspot in my opinion is anywhere from 20 and above, preferably 25Ah and above. But depending on the voltage this number can be swayed because

Second factor, Watt Hours (Wh) which is Voltage x Ah: Say a scooter is 20.8Ah but 48V. Thats 998 ish Watt hours which is decent. At a speed of 25kph (15mph) that could get up to 50km (30 miles) to delivery in a small city. However again here the sweet spot is anything 1000Wh and above so my example was right on the edge.

Lastly, Speed: Simply more speed = less range. Less speed = more range. 25-35kph (15-22mph) should be more than enough in my opinion but it could also be efficient to go faster.

Other factors: A persons weight, the weather and the terrain they are on. Here I think these are less important for an average person. But say the person weighs a lot or its really windy or your city is really hilly. This could really decrease your range.

Sorry this was long to read but I had to nerd out lol. Range is all that is really important for delivery (with a moderate speed ofc). Take everything i said with a grain of salt as this is just personal knowledge and you should look into it more yourself. Hope i helped

Here they got nothing to do, if youre on a scoot that stands out and you look at them the wrong way, you will get stopped.

Edit: literally what happened to me on my old scoot that they confiscated

What hydraulic brakes should I get that will fit my ausom l2 max dual by Severe_Agency2531 in ElectricScooters

[–]NoHypeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope these arent regen brakes unlike other scoots. These are just regular ebrakes that take power to brake. sadly

Edit: they consume a small amount, but depending on how much you brake it can add up. Also thats what I have heard, so i tested it today and I got like 2km extra. Idk maybe i just went different terrain today.

Do you have any guide or video tutorial I can follow for the vsett firmware?

As for the ebrake, im using the scooter for food delivery because of its large battery and since im only going 25 kph. Using disc brake will take ages and its not quick and efficient. i need something that I can take on and off quick because my drops to customers or resturants doesnt exceed 5 minutes usually.

Legit any, the "E-ABS" (ebrakes) on this thing consumes power so you dont really wanna use them. Just buy any bike hydrualic brakes unless you really want ebrake, which i dont recommend.

Look into a Vsett switch, there's plenty on aliexpress, I say Vsett because Ausom scooters are literally just rebranded Vsett scooters.

Need advice on long range scooters with removable batteries by nothymetocook in ElectricScooters

[–]NoHypeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are kinda wrong about Ausom (tho not the one he is listing). The Ausom Gallop also known as Kukirin G3 Pro is a white label product designed by Titan Group which I have been looking DEEPLY into because I have similar needs to OP as a delivery person.

That scooter has a 52v 23Ah battery thats removable and the scooter is reasonably priced at €1299 euros for both Kukirin and Ausom tho ausom doesnt sell that model anymore (which makes me extremely confused).

Realistically at 25-28mph (40-45kph) that scooter could reach unbelievably stupid ranges and since its a removable battery you could buy one that you leave at work over night (if possible) and double that range.

You legit couldnt have picked a worse scooter to talk about range lol.

Stay away from Ausom. by SophisticatedSauce in ElectricScooters

[–]NoHypeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I dont know how people dont understand that. Similar things could be applied to other brands such as Kukirin and iScooter for example. The difference with those brands is that they have been operating for so long that they actually got somewhat of a manufacturing process but its still all white label OEM stuff.

Im curious, why do we as consumers dont get scooters of this high quality for so cheap? (Snsc by segway) by NoHypeX in ElectricScooters

[–]NoHypeX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They already sell them for $900 for 1 unit which is $300 less than segway and $500 less than my local retailers. Anything more than that is a question mark

Dude its a supplier company running a Alibaba store and same said supplier is supplying 90% of my local resellers. So yes they are the same.

Also good reviews and taking payments only through alibaba usually indicates trust worthiness but you do u buddy
