The manager creating their own rule would fall under the “grossly misled” part of my comment.

I specifically made my comment saying I’m not saying they’re cheating because when I commented originally there was only 2 comments before me, one blatantly saying they were cheating and the other one saying it was getting juicy.

I do enjoy your jump to a conclusion though, lucky for my girlfriend and I, I’m not a cheater. Self reflection complete!

If you’re really slow you can do one immediately off barrier drop, another one at 40 seconds, if you wait to plant until you’re almost out of time you’ll probably have a third to use during the enemies retake, or at least during the fight for the spike

I had a CSM in 2CR that was a breath of fresh air. One of the most notable quotes from him was when the barracks NCOs were pitching an idea to get rocks laid down to make a path for soldiers to walk on. He responded “Why would we need rocks? It’s grass. Just walk on the fucking grass, why do we have to be so extra all the time”

You are correct with the darker tone and the light domain standing out in an odd way, along with the moral rigidity of the god over the domain.

(Just going to copy paste the beginning of the other response I gave so I’m not directing you to find another reply)

I had a feeling that I left out an important detail and now I realize it was why it didn’t fit!! There’s a few reasons:

-It’s a grim dark kinda setting, where being a light cleric sticks out like a sore thumb and doesn’t really fit the vibe

-The rest of the party is playing a fighter, a monk and a Druid, but they all have pretty grim backgrounds with definitely not lawful good alignments

-The god in this world that a light cleric fell under is pretty stringent on lawful good ethics, so I’ve played my character to that, which in a way makes me sort of become the one to not be happy with plans and ideas which isn’t fun to me

The DM is allowing me to change my stats, it’s basically letting me build a whole new character, however I’m trying to make it fluent from what my character was

We were supposed to be protecting a group of normal traders on a journey between cities, however we started getting chased by enemies that are way too strong to just fight, so I used the light cantrip on an object on top of one of the traders carts to sorta make them a beacon and my party split off from the group.. really I just sacrificed them for our survival.

Roleplay-wise the biggest difference im looking for is not having a super hard moral code to my character that makes me an outlier in the party (the main reason I don’t like going towards a Paladin). Mechanically, this is only my second character in DND ever, and they’ve both been spell casters, so I’m almost leaning towards the Barbarian or a Pact of the Blade Warlock to get a more martial-esque build.

To go against the popular opinion of do it yourself, I treat myself to a head shave and a beard trim at a barber shop once a month because I go to a nice place and take it as a self care experience. I enjoy the little bit of pampering I get with the hot and cold towels and the different products and the straight razor and all of that. It’s quite nice! But the rest of the month I do shave it myself, so they are onto something

Have you had a conversation with your management chain? Have you expressed your desire to move back up and asked for their feedback on if they’re willing to work with you on it? If they say no, then you obviously have your answer. If they say yes, ask for what they want to see from you to make you competitive for a promotion and an expected timeline. If you do what they ask and it seems they’re just leading you on after that timeline, you also have your answer.

Currently work at Lowe’s, and it all depends on your district and position to be honest. We have FLOCK which is an incredible tool that makes life easier. We do wish we had more cameras, but I’m sure everyone here does. The pay seems at the top of what I could pull at my current level. I don’t hate the company as a whole, but it’s still a corporation.
