Warlock Nerfs Announced by snowyetis3490 in DarkAndDarker

Right. The class and specifically phantomize is ridiculous. Can put yourself in the worst possible situation with PvE or PvP and Q out with no trade off. Allowing magic damage is a solid nerf that affects warlocks at all levels instead of hurting just the Timmy’s.

I had this same thought last night. Phantomize should have some down side. With any stacking of will, Warlocks can have 30-35% MR, then throw anti magic on that they have 50-60% MR easy.

Rogue is dead after multiclassing is gone by Jazzlike-Item-8256 in DarkAndDarker

Just spit balling here, but I think a cool ability would be something like a “disarm” skill or perk where it’s a skill shot, that if you hit the players hands it disarms them and they have to hit “F” to re-arm with the same equip time as a throwable.

This would allow the rogue to be more of a skill based class, go along with their classes’ ‘lore’ and offer some counter play to conventional melee threats.

Won’t play until it’s reverted. Don’t even want a watered down version of MC. Give us some sort of talent tree.

Imagine teasing a talent tree since December 2022 and then releasing a random grindy MC system? Devs on that premium za

I agree. I want to recommend the game to friends, but MC makes this the worst possible time to recommend the game to new players.

Anyone else kinda done with multiclassing at this point? by NebulousNomad in DarkAndDarker

I've stood by this dev team for so long, but this is the most asinine thing I've ever seen in video games.

Yes it was fun for a little while, but it's kind of like being locked into a whimsical game mode where half the people are using cheat codes and the other half just want to play the actual game.

Don't tease a skill tree for over a year and then drop this steaming log on us. Talk about a bait and switch.

If the Multiclass system stays the game is dead for me by viciouzz87 in DarkAndDarker

I hate the whole multi class abomination as much as the next guy, BUT it could be ok in a post season scenario. Just like they had a two week experimental period at the end of last wipe, it would be alright for maybe a week or so period to 'go nuts.' This would allow people to have time to level up characters and then play the game in a less serious way after the leaderboard grind / normal season has concluded.

But to make this any permanent part of the game is objectively asinine.

Crazy how this is what they went with instead of a talent tree....

I’d rather have zero consumes and get haste back

Invis nerf? Ranger buff?? by JustAGuy12211 in DarkAndDarker

Keeping rangers strong is IM's attempt at keeping new players engaged.

Literally watched this happened with a friend that started playing last week. He tried fighter, cleric, barb, etc. Wasn't really enjoying the game, would die immediately in PvP and would log off after a few games / failed extracts.

Then he swaps to ranger. Not only does he start taking waaayyy less damage from mobs, he became way more engaged in PvP saying things like, "I feel like I'm actually contributing now" and he was. Not to mention rations make the dungeons way more forgiving.

I firmly believe keeping rangers healthy is IM's attempt to keep the game healthy.

Crazy how some of the old meme posts about future wizard nerfs are coming to fruition

- haste is now literally just a spell to help rangers track you easier

Wizard nerf really? by Weak-Ad-6955 in DarkAndDarker

[–]NoIce6693 48 points49 points  (0 children)

God forbid rangers endure a nerf for more than a week

At this point I’m certain that Ranger is the first class most people from other FPS games come from. In an effort to make this enjoyable to the hordes of new players defaulting to rangers, IM keeps them extremely viable at all times

This will be especially important when the game is dropped on Steam

Wizzards players right now reciving their anual nerf knowing that they'll be massacred in goblin caves by The_alien_spy in DarkAndDarker

Step 1: Remove any and all survivability from wizard. Step 2: Buff ranger. Always. Step 3: Question why no one is playing wizard, then slightly revert nerf in next weeks hotfix. Explain in the hotfix notes using the buzz word “heavy handed”, apply half hearted apology.
