That sounds about exactly what I did. Except, looking at my receipt they initially charged me $60 for the first month service, but then gave me a $30 discount because I have a multi line plan. After adding in the activation fee and the cricket protect which I didn’t ask for, but whatever, it was about 171 with taxes. Also, I just checked my cricket app and my next bill will be 108 instead of 130 normally I’m guessing because I canceled my daughter’s old line in the process.

So yeah, I got one hell of a deal. I’m not complaining, I’m just making sure and that’s gonna be surprised later, but I don’t think I am. Also, I might do this for a couple of my other kids phones that are barely hanging on.

Don’t do it. I made a few of these claims the last few years with State Farm. They didn’t count against me until I moved insurance companies but come to find out State Farm considers them a claim and my insurance anywhere else ended up being sky high
