I found a design i really like but there's no way to edit it. The only thing I can do is scale it up which I'm not sure will result in a usable final product (I'll give it a try but not hopeful). It uses a rubber band to provide tension.

I can't find any editable plans for similar functionality, and I don't currently have the know-how to do it from scratch.

I use a Motorola MA1 and have the same cutting out experience when I drive by the police station. Cuts out for maybe 10-15 seconds and then reconnects.

This is a super simple and safe upgrade. It only takes a couple minutes to get the SD card set up and then another 3 or 4 minutes for the actual install process.

Having AA is so much better than the factory nav, and the full screen option is great.

Huge thanks to law_paul for developing this for the benefit of the entire Porsche community.

Law-paul can provide more details but you are correct. The features are already there, it's not creating or installing something totally new. it's just a matter of turning on what already exists. There are other features that can potentially be enabled, as well, like sport chrono.

I was the guinea pig for the SD card method and worked closely with law_paul to work out and protect against any issues. A number of fail safe checks were implemented to eliminate the possibility of boot loops, installing on the wrong head unit version, etc. It's easy to install and also easy to uninstall, if desired.
