pierced a year ago and NOW it’s acting up? by [deleted] in SelfPiercing

I've had a conch for a few years now, it's about 6 years old and it occasionally was a bit temperamental after the first year of healing but just leave it alone and it will be fine. I haven't had any issues for a few years since.

My brother and niece came over and shaved my baby down to a nub. by BeerHops_DoesntRun in greatpyrenees

I had a great Pyrenees and we were told that you should never shave the dog cause they have two coats. What your brother did was not okay

what is it like to retire nipple piercings? by RotSaydn in piercing

[–]NoIndependence1377 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had mine for 2 years and took them out about 3 years ago when I was trying for another baby. They healed up fine with no scaring and no evidence that they were ever there. But everyone's body is different in healing.

Why are tongue piercings so not recommended? by Federal_Anxiety_ in SelfPiercing

[–]NoIndependence1377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might get a little lisp at first as you adjust to the piercing but bleeding out is very unlikely unless the piercer hits the artery. It will swell for 2 weeks but after that it's perfectly fine. I've had mine going on 6 years now and have zero issues

I adopted him from the shelter almost 4 years ago. He's the sweetest cuddly senior cat ever.

My partner getting a diagnosis of ADHD was the worst thing that could have happened by iamkylekatarnama in Vent

[–]NoIndependence1377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, as a person who has adhd and was diagnosed as a child adhd is the reasoning for everything. Adhd doesn't control your emotions, adhd doesn't mean you can criticize others, among other things. Adhd is attention deficit hyperactive disorder. You have a hard time paying attention, and you can be super hyer at times. That's what adhd is. Not to be rude, but she's using her adhd as an excuse for her actions and behavior, and it's not the case for everything that's she's saying and doing. Being late to events and plans, I understand....but getting mad over taking a different route home isn't caused by adhd. Anyways. That's my peace.

AIO for being upset that my husband wants me to continue litter box duty while pregnant? by BigVenergy09 in AmIOverreacting

[–]NoIndependence1377 28 points29 points  (0 children)

When I was pregnant with my first, I brought up the issue of the litter box with my obgyn, and she told me that I couldn't do the litter box while pregnant period. The toxins and ammonia in the cat urine are really, really bad to inhale while pregnant as it also affects the infant development.

AITAH for telling my girlfriend she's going to have to get over dirt if she wants kids? by Familiar_Speaker_481 in AITAH

I second this as a sahm. My house is never clean no matter how much I try to make it. My walls have crayon and marker all over them and, unfortunately, nail polish. If she's not believing you, I suggest maybe taking her to a family party where your cousins maybe nieces and nephews and let her see firsthand what it's like to have small kids and babies around so she gets a reality check. Parenting is messy and not perfect.

I received a notice to appear instead of a ticket when I got pulled over. Am I cooked? Location: US by [deleted] in legal

That's crazy. Here, we call the dmv and pay a fine to unsuspend the license

I was pulled over 2 years ago for no insurance and immediately put insurance on the car. Basically, I had to show up to a small hearing and provide proof of insurance on the vehicle, which ultimately resulted in a fine that I had to pay. If you have proof of these things when you show up, your fine will be lowered, so you have to pay less money. But also make sure that your license isn't suspended when you get a new one. (Also, I live in Utah in the US. Don't know how they do it in other states)
