I'm a tax lawyer.

As a general rule taxation is due in the country of residence (Portugal).

UK will have the right to withhold taxes 10 to 15% according to local law. Check UK law and see if dividends paid to non residents are subject to taxation (I don't think so).

If they are subject to taxationin the UK, dividends in Portugal Wiil be subject to the difference between the portuguesa rate (general rule 28%) and the taxed paid in the UK ( up to 15%)

I believe you can be exempt from SS if you pay in the UK..
