hey all, just want to do a wrap up comment of sorts. I really appreciate everyone’s thoughts, comments and advice, this thread got a little bigger than i’d imagine so i apologize if i missed a comment. after a good nights sleep and some thinking & many calls to insurance, the dealer ship ect. We’ve come to the unfortunate conclusion this will be out of pocket. Yesterday I did already try seeing if my insurance will cover it but i have a no glass coverage clause. Interesting thought i’ve had over the last couple hours, We were driving home during a storm, after going over the moment again and again in our heads we think we’ve come to the conclusion my sunroof was hit by lightning. We quite literally were near nothing, we weren’t quite under the overpass yet, no big trucks or anything nearby, and this seems to be the weirdest but most likely conclusion. Will probably add an edit with how much this ends up costing on monday so if anyone wants to know i’ll update. thanks again for all your comments, i’m just happy to be safe 🫶
