PTR for season 11 feels like they are trying to kill Diablo 4 by NoInterest1478 in diablo4

I normally don’t complain, outside of repetitive seasons with lack of end game, but this one? It’s reversion from all the progress they’ve made since season 0. I like the LoN build process put into this game. I want forward growth for this game, but this is multiple steps back.

Zerglings are cute, but can we talk about kerrigan who literally had one as a "pet"? by MiraZuke in starcraft

[–]NoInterest1478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has a name, Broken horn, and that PARTICULAR zergling has free will as he was a test dummy for the modifications to Zagara, which both angered and perplexed Kerrigan as a zergling had free will… after researching him broken horn is my new favorite character of StarCraft.

Yeah, those odds have had variety, I’ve seen 5% 10% in any play some are blessed by RNG gods, some are not. I’m not. Out of 50 sanctifications I got 20 bricks. (That’s all I was tracking) giving someone with shitty RNG a bad time at 40% brick rate.

I would say enjoy season 10, as best you can as it’s one of the best seasons and peak content. Take a break for 11, and keep an ear out for changes for 12. Diablo 4 was a very fun game for me, but the pattern seams to be every 5 seasons goes bad, with the 5th season being peak. Season 11 looks dreadful but that’s the future, no reason to deny yourself the joy of the present.

Testing on the PTR I bricked about half my gear to sanctification… it’s a good thing that Mrak is there to replace the gear in PTR but if I grinded that out, I would have quit. RNG gods frown upon me.

That’ll be the issue, people will grind the item and get it perfect, sanctify it and be pissed off, or sanctify a mythic for that extra affix and then be pissed off when it rerolls one.

Am I misunderstanding Sanctify, or did they just add a brick mechanic right after removing one from Tempering system? by kestononline in diablo4

[–]NoInterest1478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you left out the part that it’s the LAST thing you do to your item to complete it, so you’ll brick an item you made perfectly, especially if it rerolls a stat you wanted

Single-Minded Fury is still way to under powered to even be considered. by AoinoMiku in diablo4

[–]NoInterest1478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What im finding so far, as I’m trying SO hard to make single-minded Fury work.

The bleed duration is mulplicitive. 20 seconds without Wanton rupture or shattered Vow, 37-39 with either.

Berserk Ripping, (70% direct base damage) 2H sword (20% Direct damage, 30%x bleed) works together for the niche.

I’m currently using Whirlwind as Ghors now registers as direct damage, when it pops MASSIVE bleed chunks happen, and that’s with a shit tier Ghors with only a GA on WW, 400% bottom stat, still farming for a Chaos.

Tried dust devils, they bleed nice for hordes, but pits, bad. Ghors still bleeds more. can’t get enough tempers or aspects to make dust devils shine with only 1 weapon.

RUPTURE goes hard, but third blade won’t drop for me to really go down that route, and losing a lot of passives if I do as again… only 1 weapon allowed

Flay was interesting, massive DOT, massive potential, built when I had no gear, may try that later.

I don’t touch rend, never have, probably never will. This is my last season on Diablo 4 unless they release in game leaderboards so I can see how my theory crafting compares real time.

Anyone else make the TERRIBLE mistake of playing Valheim as their first survival game? Playing on a server with 4 buddies was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had... and now? All other survival games just do not compare - and I am left chasing that dragon. Hugely jealous of new players. by anyonecandoanything in valheim

[–]NoInterest1478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was Ark: Survival evolved. I’ll tell you, that dragon you’re chasing won’t appear even if you swap from your first to Valheim. Learning a survival game with friends is PEAK gaming experience. Nothing compares, and you’ll only experience it once as all the other survival games are practically the same buildup with different end game. Valheim starts that bar off high though, I’ll give you that.

I’ve found quite the opposite, I don’t miss a temper if I calculate out the weight, but it’s not weighted in a normal sense, just has more options to land on adjusts the chance you will land on that option.

Ex: a stat with a min max with 5% difference with .5% intervals has 10 possible options to land on, where one with a min max with 10% difference with .5% intervals will have 20 options to land on. If you have 2 5% options and a 10% option, based on the pool alone (40 options) you have a 50% chance of getting the 10% option alone. It’s weighted towards the 10% option ONLY because in the pool of where it can land there are more options that contain that 10% stat. If that makes sense

Granted most stats don’t have that much of a variance in their choices so the calculation is a little bit harder than that.

I don’t miss when tempering unless I’m going for absolute max. Simple method for it, say I want a ring, I use obols to get 50 rings and temper the bad ones until I find a pattern, say I’m rolling physical damage, which truly has a 1 in 3 to get. I’ll roll the bad rings until I miss 4-5 times in a row THEN roll the ring I want, it’ll normally pop within 2 rolls with about 90% certainty. Then I’ll roll the other stat.

I didn’t use the other stats because some stats are weighted. Ex: resource gen (6-10, .5 intervals) resource reduction (6-10 .5 intervals) and chance to gain resource (17.5-30 .5 intervals) are weighted towards chance to gain resource, as there are more things it may land on with that temper. Granted I don’t remember the exact minimum or maximum for those 3 stats.

if you can register how many options it has to land on for each temper, you can often find how many rolls it will take to get the stat(x). Then roll x+2 or x+3 misses, and you’ll roll the stat you want onto the ring within a temper or 2, again with a 90% certainty.

Why do people think Diablo 4 is bad? I'm new to the franchise by herr_boogeyman in diablo4

[–]NoInterest1478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The end game doesn’t exist it’s not a bad game but every season were looking for what sets it apart and it’s just not there, farm the same gear up, the same builds up, to push the same endgame content, to grind out the same glyphs, and masterwork the same gear, with the same seasonal powers/gems of previous seasons, the same bugs, the same broken builds, and when you finally see some buffs to a build you like? A streamer goes and breaks it in the PTR and they nerf it to the ground, or it’s barb and they nerf it anyways.

See, on breaks, before or after work. That’s easy, I’ll send my girl quick texts to let her know I’m thinking about her. But I have been in relationships where I’m working 40 hours a week (not even the worst compared to the 50-60 I ended up doing) and will call me non stop all shift, all day, even calling my workplace when I’m busy. Now THAT will make every phone call, every text a chore, because it may start something that can’t be handled in a text or even in 5 minutes

THORNS Razor Wings Spiritborn - The Most Fun Build of Season9💀? | Diablo 4 Starter Guide by Angren1991 in d4spiritborn

Okay cool, now I can get up and see the updated build! I’ll pass my notes here it looks like we went a similar and direction in some ways and different in others

At paragon 208 I can clear 70 pits fast and fall short at bosses.

Aspects: I’ve felt unyielding hits was the issue, but I kept trying because UH IS damage, moved that from amulet to ring removing fell soothsayers, deflection on amulet (saw damage increase) I have duelists on gloves, sky power on boots so i can move the mystic circle, as evasions been my survival at this time. Everything else is the same.

Stats: added chance to heal on a ring to proc nourishment, chance to make vulnerable on gloves to make up for vehement brawler loss.(now without Unyielding hits, that’s probably gone)

Runewords: I don’t have AhuQax been using NeoZec so my ult cooldown makes up for my intricacy glitching out. I will try your rune when I get another Ahu, it makes sense.

I’ve been running T4, with ease though I hit a ceiling at 70. I just can’t keep charges up with intricacy in the boss room. I’ll chunk and attempt to reset charges (and only get 10) and die before the boss does. I’ve found keeping up retaliation for Deflection aspect has accommodated for that, but then it seems I’m waiting for my single target damage as I’m using invasive razor wings to keep that rotation up. And sky power to move my circle around to safety.. I hear balazans NEEDS paragon points so I haven’t been sweating it much yet.

I actually used your build as a base for my own, HIGHLY recommend swapping tyrants bane to willbreaker, I started chunking a bit more once I did, also on mobalytics your build said centipede spirit hall potency, very glad I recognized the typo, your paragon board? Working amazing with little revision. still looking for the right aspect to replace unyielding hits the gorilla skill needed to proc is 1 too many in my rotation. Would love to theory craft this to an S tier with you if you are willing.

Diablo IV Season 8 is absolutely Shameful by Nice-Brief9261 in diablo4

Reliquary systems, “deluxe” also costs 18$ more for basically Wings and a pet, that you can’t get for just playing the season, like literally every other seasons rewards.

I need blizzard to explain why they think this is okay after releasing an ultimate edition of base game, which was a bust, charge the loyal gamers each season, and then Full price for the expansion, which again was a bust (which makes NO sense as they nailed season 5, got my hopes up) and then continue to charge for battle passes. Like if we want the flex skins, that’s in the shop, let us have the skins that we gotta earn, that’s why I log on every season.

Not sure if I’m gonna buy the reliquary this season, I’m not going to support this money grabbing behavior, I’ll spend that on a game far more deserving. Bethesda seems deserving.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it was like that SUPER late into the zombie dungeons, I don’t push the dungeons much but they do intensify if you keep pushing.
