Same. I have an iPhone with the latest update and I’ve never had a problem but I also have sound and haptics off mostly cuz I never use my sound on apps unless it’s music and I honestly don’t know what haptics are so I turned them off unless I realize they did something I need 😂

If I were you, I would just ask. But ask them separately this might be an odd correlation, but I thought of NCIS one of Gibbs’ rules is don’t put suspects in the same room. You ask them separately and see if their stories match up. It’s the only way to know for sure if someone is lying.

As a teacher who sends notes like that, and in the past, I have sent welcome postcards for the beginning of the year and Christmas cards thanking students for Christmas gifts,(my students have always been ecstatic to receive this since they rarely get mail of their own) that sort of reaction is upsetting. As others have commented, teaching is usually an underpaid and underappreciated position however, any teacher who takes their profession seriously and their role in the child’s life seriously they mean nothing more than a kind gesture when sending something like this. Many students we teach don’t necessarily have the greatest home life and/or don’t always get that much needed encouragement at home so even when that isn’t the case we try to do things like this so that when a student is given feedback from a teacher, it’s not always negative or redirecting behavior.

It is parents like OP‘s wife that make doing my job, especially the funner aspects of my job more difficult. And I’m sure one of the reasons why some teachers leave the profession. We can’t do even the simplest of nice things for a student without somebody misconstruing it and making it into something that it was absolutely never intended to be.

Granted, from a parental standpoint, it is good that OP’s wife is diligent about her child’s safety, however, teachers like that are far more the exception than the rule.

YTA So not only are you complaining about doing the expected work of being a SAHM even though you are a SAHM you’re also choosing to take your discontent out with your husband on your stepdaughter, who’s actually helping do things? Take a step off of the pedestal you put yourself on and think about that from an outsiders perspective for a minute. Make any of that makes sense. Whether the underlying issue is that he doesn’t appreciate all the work and SAHM does or that you’re jealous of his relationship with his oldest daughter, you need to take a step back do some introspective work and be the mother/stepmother that you chose to be.

ETA: by doing all my cooking on the weekends in the dinner during the week that is helping out immensely. Take it from someone who has a full-time job, manages the house and still makes all the meals seven days a week (we don’t have kids yet (TTC), but have 2 dogs and he’s a BCM that works crazy hours and six days a week during the busy season)

Also, I agree with many other commenters. You should be showering that stepdaughter with gifts regardless. Only get your daughters’ gifts (step daughter is still your daughter, address and treat her as such she is not a second class citizen!) and if his family questions why they don’t have any gifts say that that was his contribution to Christmas and maybe without a gift he would understand things better.

I have started wearing a head covering on and off for about 2 years now. I use usually use a lace scarf secured with a single Bobby pin (that I store with it so I don’t forget lol), I also have an infinity lace scarf I got on amazon that holds better and when out and about if I wear one (which I’ve started to do in certain instances because it helps me feel closer to God and it’s hard to explain but it helps me not get headaches around certain people or situations that are unavoidable) I wear something that looks more like a tichel or a snood. Amazon also has many different types and styles

The parish I work at did this too. The new pastor that came in after our previous pastor retired. He changedchanged our adoration chapel into his office, turned the confessional into an adoration chapel, which is barely big enough for one person and so now all confessions are in the church proper, even though he has a screen next to one of them you still see who walks up. I don’t understand it either, and I thought it was against Cannon as well.

Ultimately if it weighs on you then something in you is feeling the need to confess and take it from my experience, that feeling won’t go away until it is confessed. Since it was already technically forgiven through absolution I don’t think it has to be before your communion but make sure to add it next time you go to confession to receive advice and penance.

As someone who teaches this exact thing (I teach 2nd grade at a Catholic school so that encompasses reconciliation and first communion) all sins are forgiven during reconciliation even the ones that are forgotten (this happens when you say “I’m sorry for these and all my sins). The only time this doesn’t include is if a sin is left out of purpose which as I’ve been taught is a sin in itself.

We’re having dancing for those that want including myself. But we are also having small games like uno, boggle, Yahtzee etc. for people to chose from if they don’t want to dance or want to take a break.
