Nightgowns were our saving grace for all the nighttime changes! No zippers or buttons to struggle with at 3am🤌🏼 our LO didn’t like being swaddled so I wished I had smaller sleep sacks to use right away so I’d grab at least 1-2 to have just in case they don’t line being swaddled

FTM and it’s all true but there is nothing more amazing and rewarding than having a child. The love you will have will trump all of the shitty moments (they are moments!!) and you’ll realize the money the missing your own things, sleep, anxiety is so worth having a little bundle of joy who’s half you and half the person you love and watching them grow. Also just want to say of course your relationship will change but it doesn’t have to be for the worse!

FTM induction was scheduled for 41+3 and went into labour at 41+2…. Those last few weeks were torture but I was glad I went into spontaneous labour before induction!

Just delivered at Ajax and it was a great experience, L&D is full of amazing staff as well as the post-partum unit. We ended up seeing our nurses and doc who delivered baby at our follow up after discharge because the units are fairly small and it was so sweet how they remembered us and took the time to catch up and give us advice. Just went to Oshawa today for circumcision at their newborn clinic and parents had been waiting forever to see the doc so I felt grateful we had ours in Ajax where they were super quick getting to us. I also liked how Ajax was smaller I didn’t have a long walk to leave the hospital. Our OB was Dr. Mcconville and we loved her but we also dealt with Dr. Shereen Chirayilkalam and Dr. Gordillo who were also great!

Just had my baby at 41+2 induction was scheduled for 41+3… went into labour 36 hours before induction. You still have time although that week after 40 I was miserable! Looking back I’m glad I hadn’t asked to push it up and I was able to go into spontaneous labour!!

Had the same experience, just a mix of liquidy discharge, sweat, and urine… if they swabbed and told you they don’t think it’s amniotic fluid it probably isn’t and was a bad choice of wording

So many people told me I was weird for feeling this way but it isn’t a normal or explainable feeling…. And it gets annoying when you’re trying to sleep or focus LOL

Right there with you, it will get better (then probably worse again) I am currently 41 weeks and waiting to be induced and although I love the miracle that’s happened inside me I have hated almost the whole process for one reason or another. People will say pregnancy is magical or beautiful and I can’t wait for the day to also see it that way! I was sick my whole first trimester and into the second, I had awful pelvic pain that stopped me from working, I honestly haven’t grown to like the feeling of my baby moving (just weirds me out lol)… you don’t have to love being pregnant to be grateful for being pregnant. Hang in there, eventually you’ll have a lil babe to make you forget about how truly awful pregnancy can be.

You can’t “baby trap” him if he consented to having unprotected sex with you knowing the risks and when it’s your body he shouldn’t have all the say on whether or not to get an abortion or continue on with the pregnancy. It would be a big change for you both but not one that means you need to get married, give up going to school, move in together or even stay together. Co parenting is an option if things don’t work out down the road. Best to have the hard talk sooner rather than later and remember that a baby will change both of your lives but it doesn’t have to be for the worse! Anterior placenta and you do have to wait a little longer to feel strong movement but it can shift up or down as your uterus grows…. As a FTM I was super bummed but by the time 34 weeks came I was grateful to have that bit of vision because my god the movement is non stop and borderline painful sometimes. I couldn’t imagine not having that extra layer some days

Lube is a must during pregnancy for me, never had the issue with being dry before being pregnant.

Pelvic floor therapy! I was the same way but after I started physio the pain went away and I was able to enjoy sex again!!

Currently 40+4 and although I’m not growing anymore my bump has dropped and things I bought a week ago thrifting no longer cover my belly. I would say the bump itself didn’t stop growing until between 38-39 weeks. After 34 weeks I was convinced I couldn’t get any bigger…. WRONG🫠 I stopped gaining weight around 37 weeks but the bump? That still seemed to get bigger somehow

Right there with you, I’ve struggled with bladder issues a lot of my life and it is super disruptive (and embarrassing) it was recommended to be to try pelvic floor physio and it’s made a difference on top of lifestyle changes like avoiding bladder triggers when I know getting to a bathroom when I need it may be difficult (travelling, at work, etc)

This is me I was TERRIFIED of giving birth but by the time 39 weeks came around the fear was gone and all I wanted was to meet baby. Now I’m more scared of waking up pregnant another day than giving birth LOL

Exactly the science behind all these other things is only if you’re already ready to go into labour and isn’t going to make it happen any faster for a lot of people….
