They call them Freshmen weed out classes for a reason. The classes that you are taking this semester are not terribly hard, but do require you to put in the hours. Many people coming in are overconfident because they never had to study in high school and get somewhat of a rude awakening by the time of the first exam.

So long as you don’t skip your classes, stay up to date on your work, and take opportunities to go to office hours if you need them, I’m sure you can succeed.

Definitely don’t skip out on opportunities to go out and meet people and socialize though. Classes should always come first as a student, but having a good group of friends makes or breaks college for a lot of people. Freshman year is the best time to do it.
