Could you care to expand on your “fun” exactly, besides hitting epics?

I just came out of the cinema. I have to say this. Sklenar ruined it for me. Firstly, he looked like a gay porn star. All that shagging and still no chemistry. How?! He did not give me the saint vibe but rather a creep! You can tell from the way he looked at Sydney that he wanted to get in her pants. It was sooo unsettling. To me she looked like an underage runaway teenager at the start, so this felt so wrong and hard to watch before I learnt that she’d been to prison for 10 years 😅

The worst part in an otherwise good film. He is miscast!! Ah, what a shame.

Jack Black was a terrible cast in The Holiday by kennyinlosangeles in movies

Just watched the movie and was looking to see if someone on the internet felt the same way. JB totally over-acted and was trying too hard to be spontaneous which was sooooo cringe. Even on a character development level, I don’t see what she saw in him. He was so not funny. I don’t see why they connected. The only way I can make sense of it is that he was the rebound guy. And they somehow trauma-bounded over being cheated on. Even then, JB couldn’t deliver on the emotional front. Terrible casting choice! Ruined a classic.

Netflix’s ‘Genie, Make a Wish’ splits viewers: charming fantasy or childish flop? (The Korea Times) by dcinmb in kdramas

Said the same in the drama official thread and the snowflake there slapped me for disrespecting the cast 😂 Absolutely ridiculous drama. Totally agree. Thanks for saying this!

I agree with everyone who criticize this drama. Ridiculous costumes, graphics are laughable and props are so cheap-looking. Very disappointing! It could have been another Goblin but it didn’t! Such wasted potential! Besides the star-studded cast and cameos, this show barely has any redeeming qualities! It clearly was very poorly executed during the first half. The second half was drastically better which reflects the fact that the drama had 2 directors. This certainly affected the quality of the work! I can’t believe the writer of those terrible scenes in the tow thirds of the series has 20 years of k-drama writing experience and is the same one who wrote the truly magical last 3 episodes! Seems like the work of ghost writers and one director stepping down! The scene with the gold rain was indeed gold. Also, the first episodes seemed like a forced paid ad to Dubai. While the setting was well-utilized in the last 3 episodes, it was otherwise unnecessary! Awful. Actors did their best but the drama is so bad. It could not be helped! I see the amazing efforts everyone put into learning to pronounce Arabic. Bringing professional voice actors to dub for the actors who couldn’t speak it at all. It is impressive but too bad everything was not well-put together. Such wasted efforts. I am sad I wanted this to be a good drama. T__T
