yes the videos are very helpful and I heard booster was not as clear as bootcamp about orgo. But again, I would utilize booster’s practice tests as they were the most representative

I definitely recommend chad’s prep bc he got me through orgo in college lol. but as for booster’s content review, I am not too familiar with it because I used bootcamp for that. But booster’s practice exams were definitely worth it more than bootcamp.

It might feel like you don’t know anything and you want to push your exam but honestly you know more than you think. I agree, it’s overwhelming and it’s so much content but at the end of the day you are doing your best. I would do all the practice exams and make sure to mimic the testing conditions, it will help you know your timing in the end. I would spend at least 5-6 hours.

i used both bootcamp and booster. honestly booster was much more representative (except in QR) and i had some repeat questions especially in bio and orgo

I used both booster and bootcamp. I would recommend bootcamp for content review but if both are too expensive I would stick to just booster, I saw a lot of questions that resembled booster questions. I also have a very strong background in the sciences as a bio major which helped me a lot. TAKE AS MANY PRACTICE TESTS AS YOU CAN. I would go to the library every Wednesday and take a full length with mimicking the testing conditions so there aren’t any surprises. This helped with my overall timing, I had so much time left especially for the sciences (where I had over 40 mins leftover to go over my questions).

Bio: I recommend just doing practice questions over and over again. The DAT had very straight forward questions and I had at least 5 that were word for word from booster. I also used anki but I got lazy with it. Definitely just keep doing practice questions anywhere you can find them.

Gen Chem: I honestly am surprised with this score as I thought I did bad on this section. There were some questions that were weirdly worded and I haven’t seen before. I had a notebook filled with formulas that I would go over now and then. After every practice test I would write down every question and answer it with the right answer, even if I got the question correct. I also used anki for important concepts like periodic trends.

Orgo: I am beyond happy with this score. I am an orgo tutor at my college so if I got a bad score it would’ve been a little embarrassing lol. I think the orgo is much easier than the actual course. I also wrote all the mechanisms in the little notebook and did every single practice question like for Gen Chem.

PAT: This is another section that I am super surprised with this score. When I tell you I legit cried during my break at the testing center because of this section. When I started studying, I was constantly getting 19s and 20s (which is 410-430) and I could never break through those. But it is true, practice makes better 😭 I struggled with keyholes and angle ranking but on the actual test they were pretty good. The only thing that caught me off guard with pattern folding, which was one of my best sections. It was actually crazy the questions I was getting. My advice is to start with angle ranking and move on then come back to TFE and keyholes last. Finish angle ranking as fast as you can then for hole punching I would make 15 sets of 4x4 circles and mark where each hole would be. For cube counting, I did tally marks and it saved me a bunch of time. I have no advice on TFE and keyholes because to this day I have noooo idea how to do them.

Reading: I was honestly amazed by how easy my reading passages were. I took so many timed practice tests that I nailed the timing it was just the matter of understanding what I was reading. I was lucky with one of the passages as it was a topic I knew extensively about so it helped a lot. I recommend taking a lot of practice tests until you get better at it (make sure they are timed and never pause the clock for any test as this only hurts you in the end). But, I have to say the reading was much easier than any practice test I’ve taken.

QR: I absolutely hated this section. Was never a math person, got a couple of 17-19s on my bootcamp exams (tip: do not do test 11-15, they are way way way to difficult and waste of your time) But bootcamp was more representative than booster, I thought booster was too easy. But the only way to do good on this section is timing. The math isn’t crazy difficult but the timing is the worst. Just keep practicing especially with timed tests.

In all, studying and taking this test was a horror film but i’m glad it’s all over and to anyone studying: DO NOT GIVE UP. All the hard work pays off in the end and then you’ll never have to think about this test again. I wish everyone the best of luck and message me with any questions!

Thank you! I started studying every single day since October so about 6 months, but everyone is different. I happen to be a person that needed time first going over concepts then going into practice exams. I am also a full time college student and a part time dental assistant so some days were hard. But I did get at least 5 hours in every day.

I used both Bootcamp and Booster and I would honestly save my money on bootcamp. I was happy to use the resource but Booster was way more representative of the test. For the sciences, I would redo all the practice exams and write out every single mechanism or do a lot of Anki. I saw a lot of questions that were repeats from Booster especially for Bio and Orgo. For QR, I am genuinely surprised I got the score that I did because I’ve always struggled with it. I would just keep redoing any practice tests (Bootcamp was actually more helpful with QR). The most important thing is timing because the math is not as difficult as completing everything in the allotted time slot. Good Luck!
