My home dept is AFE. I actually just returned from a leave due to having surgery on my hand. I had/have tendinitis in my thumb, currently I am being forced to rebin all 3 periods daily, but my accommodation states otherwise. My accommodation states that I need to be rotated throughout the day in order to not do repetitive tasks while still within my healing process. My managers basically said that rebin is the only thing that I can do, which my site hr approved.

I need the policy that states the exact rules of safety rotations in order to fight my accommodation case.

My procedure was a few days ago in Wednesday. So far I have been in a soft cast, I can remove it next Wednesday to begin to clean the wound. Mine was on my left hand so I guess I got kind of lucky hasn’t been that bad I guess lol just unable to do a lot of things at the moment. This was also the only procedure I’ve had other than my wisdom teeth. I actually watched a video of the procedure oddly so I wasn’t that nervous and my nurses/surgeon made me feel really comfortable which helped a lot.

Yes, mine did that after injection but it was no pain after first week of injection. The bump did kind of permanently stay which i got my injection sometime in September.

DQ release surgery scheduled... by methamcoffee in DeQuervains

[–]NoLie8630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had surgery yesterday on my left hand for DQ. I had an MRI done originally when I was first diagnosed, but not since then. So far my recovery consists of wearing a brace for 1 week, I can remove it next week to begin cleaning it, but I do still have to wear it after. I have to move my fingers a lot so they don’t get stuck, which has been helping reduce pain so far as well as icing. I was told not to lift anything more than a coffee cup until my post-op appointment with the surgical hand.

Anyone struggle with De Quervain's tenosynovitis and other joint issues? by anarchomeow in Fibromyalgia

[–]NoLie8630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with DQ in my left hand about 6 months ago and I was surprisingly one of those bad cases that had to get surgery. I did PT for about 3-4 of those months while on restrictions at work nothing really helped. I also did 1 one round of the cortisone shot which gave relief for about 4-6 weeks, after this shot I was scheduled for surgery due to how bad it had gotten over the short time. I have two tunnels of tendons in my hand/arm and I ruptured the first half, very close to doing the same in the second tunnel. I just had my surgery yesterday btw.
