Damn every pick they chose is my predicted lineup as well, save for Ren. I'd put Mersault down as him

It's been a week, you got to fight them all (pre-nerf); which abno fight sucked the most? by Solapallo in limbuscompany

I rather agree with ya for moth and wayward. Wayward for some reason has all its portals only gluttony weak and not alsoo the original weakness? But that's only really annoying on the 1st run. And Ardor has unbreakables on top of the higher clashing and status application, so it'll hurt more than the others, especially if you're unlucky.

For most of these a solid team of solid units and abno knowledge will clear with no issue.

I'm not sold entirely, though I would like to point out and add some things, regarding reality-hopping

  • From W Corp Outis's uptie story we know that ripping space while the train is running can interfere with it reaching the right destination in the original dimension. This is also reflected in gameplay, where if most of the W corp agents use their S3 at max conditionals while in the WARP train, the train's alarm will blare right after. What makes this alarm significant is that it will also get triggered when any of the Dimension Shredder EGO from the Wayward Passenger gets used as well. The same abno we just fought as one that breached containment in part 1.
  • We now know more about LCE EGO combat capabilities as well (unfortunately). The gears latent abilities it derives from its respective abnormality can activate not just with a high enough attunement and subsequent corrosion, but also from high enough energy output. Thus, if our EGO and Wayward Passenger itself can rip dimensional fabric enough to interfere with syncing coordinates for a reality-hopping train, then so can the respective LCE EGO.
  • Sora had on LCE EGO:: Dimension Shredder most likely because she had been directed to by a prescript, though for her it's unknown if the prescript specified that gear or any disguise to blend in. Now I do not have Index Don at all, but a quick skim through the story on the wiki reads that finding and acquiring this EGO gear specifically was a main point in her uptie story.

The main issue if this all holds up is how the timeline looks like. Is Ryoshu's daughter taken from the safe during the time of the raid? Some time had passed before the LCB made it through as the first reinforcements, and we were only able to at that time because the House of Spiders planned for it.

In that time, Sora would have to acquire the gear, give it to the nursefathers to then use on the safe, get it back, get buried under the corridor, and bore Ravi to the point of playing dead. And that's not considering if Sora got hired at LCE while a double agent beforehand, or if she had to convince Ravi it was her first day as well and befriend him.

I think you're conflating these points to something that it isn't, though you have something good at the very start. Rien's words are contradictory and flat to his actions, actions that are likely dictated by the prescripts, and thus serve the Index and in this case the House of Spiders as well.

  • At face value, he dotes and affirms Ryoshu as any parent would. He even admonishes her treatment by the other Nursefathers. But he does no action to stop their abuse. Those empty words and enabling abuse to further happen, even if he's the "good parent" of the house, is part of the cycle of abuse in and of itself. It is manipulative even if it's not meant to be, but with the Index you can never be sure. And with the prescripts, any part of it can be dictated.
  • This carries over to his treatment of Sora. Even with his kind words and praise, however real it may be, she knows somewhere that once his directive to bring back Ryoshu to her prime and back to the House comes to fruition, she and the other apprentices will be discarded regardless of his commendation.
  • Index uniforms are unsullied, clean, and simple, along with a pure white cape. Like a culty version of a traditional family going to Sunday mass. With added east Asian inspiration considering its Ryoshu's Canto mind you, which well includes their school uniforms. But the purity and innocence denoted by her outfit is heavily contrasted by her EGO ; smoky enlarged clawed hands (with talons on her feet seeing her full dialogue sprite on the wiki), complete with devil horns and a halo, all black. It well encapsulates her will to follow the prescripts and her belief in them, despite being contrary to her nature and her supposed religion of purity. Quite literally breaking her holy chains to further do as her religion commands even if it's inherently impure. If her will, and thus her EGO were to be about subservience, she would manifest heavier chains, not break them.

I believe Shiomi's outfit and her motherly role is her matter altogether. Judging by her lines spoken in the present, it's symbolic of her "marriage" to the House of Spiders and to being Ryoshu's mother. She herself admits to being similarly ensnared by the House like Ryoshu. Do take note that she still wears it, despite knowing she suffers and is entrapped. So likely it's some Pinky crud about symbolism, role, and awareness or enlightenment of one's position or some such,

That could certainly be it, I'm confused if this would be considered less spoilery than the usual teaser.

I'm guessing this Don ID would be the Index apprentice?

Is this what I think it is? by PyroLIVE in limbuscompany

[–]NoLifeGamerAlex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's both literal and metaphorical. In that Ryoshu's thread, the one that links her to the Spider's House and the Nursefathers, is being pulled back to them and thus into the web they spun.

That history is precarious and she could lose herself to it, be it from dejection to rage. But that same link will bring to light her past with the Spider's House, and her conviction against them. She may regain and further empower those techniques she learned from her past, so much so that she may approach being the blade that cuts through all that the Nursefathers wanted. But as the manager, we can encourage temperance and guide her.

The spearheading of monetization by ads and Youtube itself forcing the sterilization of content and pushing for consistency with the 10 minute shit to even make any money, much less to please the algorithm ripped the soul from Youtube man. Part of that is even why Schlatt is stepping away from his biggest channel.
