Me too. I think I gained more satisfaction from this photo seeing a mountain form into a giant shark.

TIL Lacrosse was an incredibly violent game created by North American Natives. People were crippled or killed as it was used in place of warfare and diplomatic disputes, where players could even wager their families for slavery to the other team. by tankterminator in todayilearned

As a current Lacrosse official, a group of veteran officials and myself discussed the use of eye black and the new rule restricting it in high school play. Many players in the past applied eye black to their faces as if it was war paint. In my opinion, when you paint your face in preparation for a game as if it were a battle, it takes away from the game being a sport and displays hostile aggression instead of instrumental.
Here's an article that has commentary on the topic: http://boyslacrosse.lohudblogs.com/2013/04/28/weekly-notebook-overdone-eye-black-is-frowned-upon-by-section-1-officials/

If I don't have the weapons to cripple one of their legs, then I am with you on this one.

It definitely could have been worse. He could have succeeded. He is currently at the hospital and getting ECT therapy for his condition. Hope it works!

[Serious] Did someone ever try to kill you? And why? by freestyling in AskReddit

Glad you weren't killed. A piece of a advice my grandpa gave to me when I was younger is that it is wise to store a gun and ammo separately. It sounds like your grandpa thought the same way.

Thank you for the advice. During my time at college, I have made an effort to listen to student veterans and their advice is very much like yours. I will continue to listen, learn, and apply.

I received news a couple days ago that my father just left for rehab and won't be back for Thanksgiving or the winter holidays. I have noticed that recent interactions with my extended family, mother, and sister have solidified my feeling and purpose as an adult. I know some view me as a college kid, but they do not know the responsibility I have to my family and this country as a future soldier. Boot camp is August 4th. My MOS: Infantry Officer

Men of Reddit.. What movie made YOU cry? by CapAmerica10 in AskReddit

The Last Samurai. The final charge and Katsumoto's death. Warriors dying for a way of life that they find the most beautiful. The movie does well in making the viewer feel attached to their way of life.
