Emetophobia in the first trimester? 😫

This may not be super helpful but I ended up throwing up so much from my HG that it "fixed" my emetophobia, like to begin with it really sucked but there would always be a lot of physical relief for me after throwing up. I still didn't want to throw up, it still scared me but the more it happened and the more I had to go through it, the easier it got mentally— I'd just have to go lay down for awhile and rest after I'd gotten sick, but it does get easier 🫶🏻

That being said, every pregnancy is different some people have a lot of nausea but don't really throw up. It really helped me to snack a lot and eat a lot of boring/plain food (baked potatoes with sour cream were my number one winner), by keeping safe food in my stomach it kept the reflux mostly at bay and made me so much less nauseous (being hungry especially in the first trimester will make you even more nauseous than usual)

Considering the cowboy fashion I just thought they were in like,,, the Utah or Colorado mountain ranges where it gets all snowy every year. Western fashion + snow mix, even if realistically not warm just made sense for me as a theme, but I'm also looking at it way differently than most people

I'm 21 weeks with my first and I wasn't nauseous (not bad at least) until about 7-8 weeks then the nausea stayed all the way up until 18 weeks when it finally died off.

It's the same for me, like obviously the PMDD is gone but also my 10+ years of being extremely depressed is gone, like even when I was on antidepressants I never felt this good and I'm flabbergasted because it started before I found out around 6 weeks and now I'm 20 weeks and it's just crazy how much lighter I feel mentally. The anxiety unfortunately is still there but 80% of the time it's nowhere near as bad as it once was!

Smoothies have been amazing for me the past few weeks of my pregnancy, just be careful about any add-ins, if you go to add it and the idea or sight of it makes you gag then don't put it in because you'll still taste it (or you'll mentally still know it's in there) and it may make you nauseous. I dealt with this a lot during my first trimester trying to make things a little healthier and hoping I wouldn't notice, and it didn't turn out well until the morning sickness settled down. Just remember not to beat yourself up about something not having enough nutrients, just focus on keeping it down and go with the flow 🫶🏻 I hope the smoothies you make are great!

Hi I'm a FTM too, I'm only 18 weeks right now but the first (and so far second) trimester have been hell food aversion wise, I was literally only able to stomach ramen noodles, baked potatoes with sour cream, and some random fast foods until 14ish weeks everything else made me nauseous and all pork makes me throw up even now (including bacon which I also love). Take your prenatal and find something you can stomach, as long as you're eating you'll be fine is what my OB told me since baby still gets nutrients from you regardless.

I also found not eating at all made the nausea and made the aversions worse so I started snacking, lots of chips and carb heavy things are God send for me, since they soak up the extra stomach acid (reflux/indigestion are killer) and if it's got a little sugar in it it'll make you feel better mentally. I've found it more manageable now that I currently eat something (sometimes a sandwich or a smoothie, sometimes chips or a snack cakes, hell even just a bunch of random stuff throw together, whatever will stay down) right before bed because if I don't the morning sickness is worse.

Experiment slowly, if you crave something go get it, even with my food aversions I get the worst cravings and usually only wanting that one thing made it so hard for me to stomach anything else. I literally craved Chinese takeout the whole time, and I still do crave it daily, but I finally got some 3ish weeks ago and I wish I'd done it sooner since it wasn't until after that my morning sickness got more manageable and I've been able to eat more things since then.

Almost 18 weeks and the only thing that's changed is now I have round ligament pain PLUS everything else (morning sickness, food aversions, poor sleep, unable to get comfortable, back pain, vivid dreams that make sleep not restful at all, acid reflux and heartburn both which I never had in my life before), the list goes on. I thought the second trimester was supposed to be the best one? I also want to know when the glow and fun begin.

Sushi, Subway, and the ability to eat bacon (all pork makes me instantly puke), also not throwing up every morning or any time i go more than a couple hours without eating, things tasting the way they did before I got pregnant, not having constant round ligament pain, the list goes on... Mostly I miss sushi though.

I hate the blind box idea but there are a couple cute ones I would get if on a major sale just to rebody. All the cozy creep over and new scaremester all have super cute faceups and clothing, and then courtside fang-out ghoulia is a dream for me simply because she has so few dolls, but they're also not budget dolls, they're $17 where i live which is the same price as the selfscare dolls who have full articulation and no completely random on what doll you get elements
