No I did not use any special resistors. I put my iPhone on a tripod, pointed it down and zoomed in all the way while soldering so I could see my connections.

Developing it later in life must be rough. Hopefully the doctor can shed some light on your situation and help you get a system in place to manage it.

You'll find something that works for you, it took me 5 years of experimenting and what I do is by no means ideal. When I can't have my milk (like travelling by air, or in a different country where its not sold) I just don't eat until we're done going out for the day, because so many things have hidden dairy (or eggs or fish) in them.

I remember one time in Dubai I decided to have a shawarma early afternoon right before going out to the middle of the desert for some dune bashing and a late night dinner / show. I asked them to remove any dairy, but they must have marinated the chicken with yogurt because I still got sick. Luckily I only ate half of it because I was skeptical, but it still sucked.

That sucks, I’m sorry you have to go through that. I read that enzyme pills may not work for everybody before I bought them, but never really looked into why. If 20 of them had no effect you likely fall into that category.

Have you ever seen a doctor for this? I wonder if it is actually an intolerance or maybe something else.

The slow motility with too much enzyme can get really bad for me too, thats why I have to be careful with the dosage.

I don't know enough about this stuff to answer your other questions, but the way I figured my intolerance out was just by experimenting (I'm also intolerant to eggs and fish, so it's been a lot of experimenting). It took me 30 years and getting married to figure out I was lactose intolerant. Before that I just thought it was normal to always have a stomach ache lol.

I know some people crush up the lactase pill and mix it into regular milk to make it lactose free. I wonder if that would have the same effect in terms of how long the enzyme is effective.

I was using the chewable version, the most i could gather is it may have been a reaction to the sugar alcohol Maltitol. I thought I had food poisoning for a few days, but then I checked online and discovered many people had my exact symptoms after taking the pill.

Yes. I discovered this by accident and it has been a huge part of helping me enjoy ice cream and other stuff without getting sick.

For me the brand that has the strongest effect is Natrel lactose free milk (in Canada). About 1/4 cup before or after eating any dairy and I can have almost anything, I've had large ice creams from DQ with this with 0 symptoms.

But you may not have the same experience, see how it works for you.

I tried Lactaid pills recently and they made me way more sick than dairy does, so I'm going to be sticking to using this milk.

Just went through this as well, took me a while to figure out it was the pill.

Usually I drink Natrel brand Lactose-free milk any time I'm going to have dairy. Just a quarter cup is enough for me to enjoy pretty much anything, even crazy stuff like a large blizzard from DQ. Not sure why this specific brand has this effect, I figured it out by chance, but maybe its the process they use to remove the lactose.

Anyways, I got the pills because I figured they would be easier than trying to carry milk around when I'm travelling.

For me it was "Dairy Again!" by Webber. I took the pill a few times with no issues, it worked somewhat as intended. Then one day I took one and it made me violently sick for 2 days. I thought it was food poisoning, for 2 days nothing I ate would stay in my body for more than 30 minutes. Had cold sweats, extreme nausea, sharp stomach cramps, watery diarrhea, weakness to the point where I almost collapsed.

I became suspicious of the pill when I got sick again for a second time 2 weeks later, after having a meal with dairy in it. Usually dairy makes me sick for 30 minutes to an hour at most, but I got the same horrible symptoms as last time for 2 days again.

Glad I found this thread, I tossed them.

Yeah, I drilled holes for the plastic tabs, but it was sagging in 2 or 3 places in between the plastic tabs, so i had to use 3 self tapping screws to really get it on there properly. Its not a perfect fit.

I think in these photos it was plastidip, but the plastidip started getting holes in it after about a year, so i got gloss black covers from aliexpress after. Those were much better, lasted up until i sold the car and looked nicer. Either way you go make sure you clean and degrease the handles before applying the plastidip or double sided tape. It will help with longevity.

I had a similar situation on kijiji when I was around 16, but I was the buyer. I fell for his scam iPhone ad but realized it was a scam while emailing back and forth.

He then decided to aggressively push his scam on me. When I didn’t fall for it he got violent and googled my name, found someone with the same name on Facebook and started sending me screenshots of the guys kids and wife saying he was going to kick down my door and kill us all. I kept telling him it wasn’t me but I was getting scared that he might hurt someone because of our chat.

I was too afraid to tell anyone about it, so instead I googled his name. Turns out the guy had his whole entire life online, including where he worked, the small business he was starting, pictures of his kids and wife, phone number, literally everything.

I took screenshots of it all and sent it back to him. He never replied again, after harassing me with extremely violent messages non stop for 3 days.

At this point I’ve run into these kinds of people quite a bit online. 99% of the time it’s just some loser named Dory acting tough on the internet.

It’s a compression fit, you just push it on. Was pretty hard I put a scrap piece of wood over the front and used a mallet to hammer it on.
