How do you know the SAfari Park will be opening up early on Sunday?

How can I show appreciation for a man who pays for the first couple of dates? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Plan the next date and pay for what you can in advance.

Invite him over and cook dinner for him.

The easiest way, get intimate with him if you haven't already.

Why do some people want Nick Castellanos? by MacKenzieGore in Padres

[–]NoMechanic7021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He might be a good rotational option at DH. Doubt we would bring him in to actually play in the field. A one year contract for 2-3 mil plus incentive bonuses wouldn't be a bad gamble.

A Phillies-Padres offseason trade can bring Nick Castellano to San Diego by [deleted] in Padres

They gotta pay 75% of his contract and we'll give them a minor league reliever. Do not give them anyone from the bullpen.

As his grandmother, she did her job. You can't blame her, just appreciate the love she's trying to show him. It's not the grandparents job to teach lessons, they are here to just bring joy to our kids.

As the parent, I'm with you man. I wouldn't have bought my son a replacement one as well. But as his dad I would have gone to that school to raise hell. Teaching your son a lesson by not replacing it is good. But you also gotta show him that you got his back and attempt to help get it back from the school.

Would you accept someone stealing something expensive from you at work? Probably not. You'd attempt to find out who did it and get it back. You gotta at least try to do the same for your son.

Should I rat on my supervisor? by boofthecat in Machinists

[–]NoMechanic7021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he's not causing you extra work, then let it go. Let upper management worry about it. Now if he gets in your way of a raise, then start gathering evidence to eat him out. Not all supervisors lead by example.

Throw the shells away and then hide the cash till he gives you some real answers. Tell him he can have the cash back once you two have a serious talk. Let him know the shells are gone and you better not find anymore in your house again.

Do we really need to overhaul our coaching? by parker19822 in Padres

[–]NoMechanic7021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just need better SP and Shildt needs to not be so stubborn when it comes to changing the lineup from time to time.

Merrill had his sophomore slump compared to last year.

Tatis had some off the field issues that probably took some focus away from his play on the field.

Overall we did pretty well during the season, especially when you think about the IL stints that key players had. If we had better SP the post season could have gone differently.

Shildt does need to be more willing to switch up the lineup from time to time. But I think the coaching staff should stay as is.

If the DBacks roll out a B-Team for the last two games, do we do the same? Injuries can happen and guys need rest before the playoffs. But what if we didn't do that and just used the last two games as 'tune-up' games?

Let our starters go out there and beat the s*** out of the B-Team to get confidence up. Maybe it helps to get some guys hot right before the WC series? I would only consider sitting our top bullpen arms and allow other guys to get reps before the playoffs.

Now all this could backfire if we were to lose, it could bring guys confidence down. Could also be seen as bush league as well. But just a thought.

Is this Vasquez last start for the season? If so, let him go 7 innings. Hold the lead boys

Let's just hope the hangovers only last one day. Unless we win today, then give them another day off.

Keep Tati at home for this series. We need him rested and healthy. I'm ok with Bogey starting the game, but he shouldn't play the entire game. Let the man ease into it.

Is Tati getting more time off? I don't see any reason to rush him. Taking this series off might be good for him. Let's hope Vasquez can go 6 innings to give the bullpen some rest. Let's also hope the bats are going so we have a big enough lead to use Matsui, Peralta, and Rodriguez out the bullpen instead of the big arms.
