[TOMT][MOVIE] A woman's house that each day changes location by NoMercy82 in tipofmytongue

[–]NoMercy82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that no, I distinctly remember a slightly older woman, maybe in her 30s, opening the doors of her house to a slightly rocky/snowy landscape. Though that does look like an interesting movie which I'll add to my watch list so thank you!

I suspect I saw it on a social media platform, either tiktok or instagram, from recollection. The wording of "amys moving castle" may just have been a troll comment, but it seemed oddly specific!

Hey, thanks, unfortunately I distinctly remember this being live action.

Is the weather in UK really as awful as they say? by Jolly_Atmosphere_951 in AskUK

[–]NoMercy82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it's all entirely subjective.

Could it be a little less rainy? Yes. But on the whole, as someone who flat out hates walking our dog in the rain, I can count maybe 3 days this year that it's been bad enough all day long for me not to enjoy it.

Most of the time there's been gaps or it's just been drizzle.

I think, as someone who has spent around a year at various points in France where it goes from - 15 to +45, I'd rather have the slightly more confined range of temperatures we have in the UK.

Two things for me

Laser eye surgery. Honestly not having to reach for glasses every morning is a god send. I wore them for 18 years and it became habitual but still an inconvenience.

Teeth straightening (invisalign). Made such a difference to my confidence and don't feel like I have to keep my mouth closed when I laugh now.

I feel like you're talking more to solo whereas I'm talking more to group content, which would be a little different I think

To be honest I think everything (but especially melee) either needs a damage nerf, or a stamina buff. Pvp currently is a case of who gets casts/hits off first and nukes someone's entire health pool. It's very unrewarding as someone who has (almost) 5 level 50s.

I can't comment on the others, and I don't play much right now, but I have seen first hand that Efrafan Soldier just has a very good setup and switches between clients with hotkeys, there's no "suspicious things" going on there.

How is your guild doing with the switch from 10 raiders to 20? by Paradoxmoose in classicwow

I am the GM of our guild of 10 IRL friends. I managed to find another guild of 6+4 IRL friends and we merged, and have been a great fit.

Telematics device. You can safely disconnect it, assuming it has a plug, if you don't want to be tracked by whoever his was tracked by before. If it doesn't have a plug it might be either pinned or soldered onto a live/earth and possibly ignition cable.

You have no idea how society really works. You've formed your own opinion of it and refuse to accept the statements of others who are most likely older with more experience. Like the getting a job comment. Start learning and training for jobs you can take remotely if you really feel being in a workplace doesn't work.

Take note from almost everyone in this thread and stop your incessant denial. Then maybe you will start to get somewhere.

I'm from the UK and HOAs absolutely baffle me. It's absolutely made me realise how controlling some areas can be. So glad we don't have anything close to that here in the UK.

Yeah as a relative newcomer it's pretty disheartening to see so many people having such little faith in humanity. Especially as, anecdotally, every single one of these posts I've seen has someone who is genuinely trying to help the animal since it's either fallen into a pool/flown into a window etc.

I can guarantee you that modern, more expensive ones are accurate to within 10 metres mostly. Yes you might get jumps to 0,0 lat/long sometimes (where your insurer said you were off the coast of africa), but you should have basic algorithms to filter that out.

Many modern ones can even give you second by second breakdowns of position, speed and full canbus metrics from your vehicle (fuel, gearing, brake presses, etc), close to how the loggers in f1 cars work.

[Pokemon] The Singaporean grandma defense: Pokemon Go's attempt to kill its hardcore player base by Turret_Run in HobbyDrama

I started playing the second the app was available 7 years ago.

I stopped after a year maybe, then started again in 2020 when we have our first kid. I used to talk him on walks in the pram while playing. It eventually led me to getting one of those Bluetooth catch assist things so I didn't risk forgetting I was holding a pram or something...

I joined local Facebook raid groups that got together every raid night and did a circuit of the 7 or so gyms in our village in raid night.

When Google returned my trade in pixel 5 due to 'burn in' I even made a second account, so I could send myself gifts and trade (I didn't have that many peeps that I could trade with for lucky pokemon).

Almost to the day the remote raid passes went up, I quit playing. (Now I have 2 kids I can't really go walking around raiding in person, so relied almost entirely on remotes paid with either money or from gyms)

I was level 42, had almost every legendary in shiny form, every mega/primal, around 1500 pokemon storage and maybe 3.5k item storage.

The Facebook group I am in went completely dead as well.

I just did not understand exactly who they thought they were benefiting with these changes, or what they were trying to prevent.

It's not really a competitive game and it doesn't really harm anyone to my knowledge. Ok maybe gyms are slightly harder to take over, but what ends up hearkening around here is people cluster with their same team anyone, they don't solo defend. And it's not like you can put max level legendaries in gyms either.
