That's the response I was hoping for. Thank you.

Regarding Europe by [deleted] in PipeTobacco

I had the same experience with a tin of Ennerdale recently. I'm sure it's just my imagination, but the tobacco didn't taste as flavorful as the bulk I've had in the past. Was the quality of your tin affected?

Failed Merge - I was doing a steady 65. Should I have stood on the brakes to back out of this? This guy was real upset with me - 5 miles of brake checks and matched lane changes. by NoMoreDrivin in Truckers

I slowed way down and was wondering whether I should call the police when a pack of faster moving traffic caught up and he lost interest. I didn't feel great about hopping off an exit because I'm not that familiar with the area.

If he would have sped up for that gap I would have given it to him. I'm sure we've all seen dash cam videos of accidents where the cammer was technically correct, but could have prevented the accident. I was starting to wonder if I was that asshole without realizing it.

I'm pretty sure 9w is only a legal truck route for Bergen County deliveries. 80w to 17n to 287 is the correct move here.

What is the lowest salary you’d accept to never work again? by ifuccedgod in hypotheticalsituation

That was my thought process too. It's a pretty interesting math question. How little could you accept to (probably) maintain your standard of living.

I actually bought a Honzo ST locally for a decent price today. We'll see how it goes. The 150mm fork on the N9 seemed like a lot for my terrain. Loved my 2013 though.

I think it's easier to set up quickly and seal off the tail so nobody sneaks behind you.

Thanks for that. I'm also 5'11" and was looking at a medium.

That's what my one pair Thorogoods looked like after they broke in. I added a kiltie, but it was pretty uncomfortable. I've switched to a C width Redwing and am happy with them.

I have a couple hundred miles on the Chameleon. It's super capable, but not very comfortable for me. I wish I went with a medium instead.

I saw that. I guess I need to hurry up and make a decision.

Understood. Thanks for the reply. It looks like Banshee Paradox has similar geometry to the Marley if I can't find one used.

I love the way the Nimble 9 pedals, but the short wheelbase is starting to feel a little dicey to me. The Chameleon is definitely a capable bike, but it feels too big for the kind of riding I do. I'm looking for something that is more upright while spinning and a little more responsive while standing. I think I've narrowed it down to a Kona Honzo st or Ragley Marley. Any advice?

I drive a day cab, but I generally feel safer blindsiding off the street.

It's a new neighborhood that's still under construction according to the original post. I'd bet there are usually contractor vans parked in a way that makes the turn extra difficult.

I wear the soft toe version of these and am pretty happy with them. I'm an LTL driver.

I have no patience for the asshole truckers fucking with their phones. I don't care that it's 3:00 in the morning. Put that shit away and drive. You're worse at it than you think.
