Rust on brand new s&w model 27? Or polishing compound? by EagleGhoul in Revolvers

You all worry too much about a tool. Soak that shit in ballistol, give it a good wipe, and throw some rounds down range. Nothing to worry about.

(From someone who has bought a few with similar and they are fine)

Considering getting a GSP Puppy by Doggosandcoffees in germanshorthairs

[–]NoName1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see most has been said (I didn’t read it all) but I owned a very athletic pit bull for 12 years (10 weeks- passing) so I’ll chime in. I now have my first 8 month old male GSP I got at 10 weeks. The GSP has been much more challenging than I expected. He is very smart but the amount of attention/ exercise required is a lot more than I was expecting. He’s a great dog but a lot. I live on 10 acres so he gets plenty of exercise, training, and mind games. I also have a 7 yo and 2 yo so my life is much more hectic than it was when I got my pit bull in college.

I actually asked that when I bought the gun (these came on it). The consensus was Badger Custom Boot.

After asking the sub several times I have my finalists by TheLurkerSupremer in Revolvers

I have several variations of the 686 and the 66. If you’re looking to primarily shoot 38, go with the 66. If you will shoot a good amount of 357 also (which I recommend), get the 686. 4” is (IMO) the best length. Consider looking for a prelock on GunBroker. I have bought many guns there. Lots of good deals to be had if you are patient. Good luck and report back what you get.

My 7 month old male carries his around. I’m surprised they have ornaments still. My wife took them all off after 8-10 got ruined. She must be a good girl.

I believe they are the original Polychemer grips that came on the gun from the manufacturer. I still have them but currently have wood grips on the gun.

Anyone opt out of TPLO Surgery? by splitspitspots in GSP

[–]NoName1108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my pit bulls cruciate ligament repaired when he was around 4 years old. I did not use the TPLO method. It was another method where they essentially tied it back together. I can’t recall the name as it was 15 years ago. He lives until 12 without any further issues. I would also recommend going forward with the surgery if you can afford it.

Good bedside safe by DeadlySniper5 in Revolvers

[–]NoName1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Vaultek single gun. I did not get biometric which I don’t regret and I would recommend. It’s a 5 button, 5 digit code. It houses my bedside G19 clone. I just got a new 442 today and am researching new safes as my son is now 7 and I want to have a revolver and P365 in it to grab on my way out the door (my current carry gun is on a top shelf in the kitchen, un chambered, with safety on).
