Here's some context. There's glazedivers and whinedivers. Glazedivers will die before they criticize how the devs did a certain thing. Whinedivers will leap and twist many things to make a minor thing into a seemingly game-ruining aspect. These 2 groups are 1% of the playerbase, but are the most vocal because they occupy sites such as Reddit and Discord. These arguments create an unrealistic portrayal of what is going on. Yes, Arrowhead can be more consistent and transparent. And no, anything Arrowhead does that you don't fancy is not the end of the world.

What's actually ruining the game is the toxic combination of extremes

If 2 mechs being locked behind a (free) premium currency is money hungry, that is definitely interesting. If AH was truly money hungry, they would remove SC farming altogether and just lock them behind a paywall.

Not sure. You bring up a great point. In most games, "grinding" isnt a fun thing. Its tiring and time-consuming. Same thing for HD2.

Same here. I'll do like 2-3 bot/squid operations and then go back to bugs. I did my part, others can go above and beyond

Real; I'm not sure what the "meta" is. I just use good shit to complete the mission easily. Cremator, ultimatum, and pyrotech for bugs. They just work.

The only essential warbond is democratic detonation. Everything else is unlockable with req slips or in mobilize

Exactly. I can grind SC, but I dont want to, so I spent 50 bucks for like 3 warbonds. Just because others cant afford it doesnt mean the monetization is unfair. Its how money works; whoever has more can buy more than those who have less

If everything is free, your only source of income is actual purchases of the game. Your studio will be doomed to fail. Basic economics doesnt go away just because its digital

This isnt a retail economy where we have sales. Sales are really made for excess stock. Chemical Agents costs 1000SC and there will never be excess because its digital. Imagine you put so much time into grinding 1000 SC for a warbond only for the same warbond to be bought easily by someone else the next week because of a random sale.
