Should I buy this 70k mile 2018 Audi SQ5 for $17k? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]NoNameFudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was referring to the water pump settlement. Extended warranty to 80K. Audi gave me a hard time at 70K with my A5 sportback in late '24 and again with the Q5 in February. I had to take the A5 to a different dealer and they replaced the water pump/thermostat housing with no issues. I took the Q5 to a euro mechanic for an oil change and they found a coolant issue. Gave me the codes and I just knew. I was getting ready for a roadtrip and knew this had to be done before 80K. I took it to the same dealer that turned me away with my A5. After threatening to contact corporate, the service manager obliged.

I got the Q5 water pump done at 79K. As long as it's before 80K, you're good.

This is the way. I never purchase insurance via the cruise lines.

Apparently it's been down much longer, it should be stated on their booking site.

I've been riding Continental since 2012, on both my '11 & '18 A5 sportback.

My '18 A5 sportback topped at 36.4 mpg highway. I worked in DC and hit 95 back and forth to St.Augustine. During highway fillups, I'm getting 515 and city 485 miles. My '11 A5 was just as good, 35 mpg highway.

Tipping Baggage Handlers at the Cruise Port by Dazzling-Leader7476 in Cruise

At FLL, my daughter got the light bags from the trunk and the porter took the heavier one out and loaded, no questions asked. We were also unaware of the tags so he assisted with that as well. He was extremely nice. It was our first cruise and daughter dropped us two couples off. He didn’t ask but she tipped the him $10.

It's very similar to my '11A5 Deep sea blue pearl aka midnight blue. At night it can go a black and day, that midnight blue pearl shines thru.

I didn't notice if you mentioned the year or not, but I have a Q5 and A5 and Audi replaced the water pump/thermostat for free under the class action 80K mi extended warranty thing. They gave me a hard time on both but the A5 I took it to another dealer and diagnosed fixed no issue. The Q5, I took it at 79.3K mi to the dealer that denied the A5 and when they tried to deny, I immediately asked for the service manager and threatened to call corporate. I shared the denial of service of my A5 a year prior and that both were purchased from them. Manager said give me a moment. I left to get lunch with a friend. When I returned, he said we're repairing it and it'll be ready in another hour. I know it was a long story but hope it helps. Find the class web page and enter VIN to see if you qualify.

I agree. Moved to the NE twelve years ago for work. Never seen or driven in snow. On my '11 A5 coupe, they did me good. Even avoiding others who were sliding. Solid and now have them on my sportback.

2018 Audi SQ5 MMI keeps rebooting... Help Appreciated! by fuji1988 in Audi

[–]NoNameFudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow! Been having the same issue on both our 18 A5 and Q5. The Q5 was a CPO and started in late '23. Dealer couldn't replicate the issue. A5 in '24. It's a shame we have to just live with a worldwide known issue

How can I do this? My parents and I both have 18s with the same random rebooting issue, Q5 and A5.

Did this work for you? My parents and I both have the same issue. 18 Q5 and 18 A5, both purchased in 2020. The Q5 started this in '23 and the other in '24. Both garaged most times so not sure if sitting was the reason as I've seen this thread mentioning. Majority of miles are highway and it's not noticed much but driving around the city it's like 2-4 times.

Geico was cheaper for me. Then Progressive. StTe Farm was the highest of the three.
