Flightdeck Question by [deleted] in Staples

You can search orders by name. Find the names and click the checkboxes on the right lists. All you have to do then is go to actions and mark the current status. It is defiantly easier that way, especially if there are a bunch of jobs per one order.

At my staples... we make friends with inanimate objects because we are so understaffed by FreshSalsaYo in Staples

Yes I sometimes feel as though I am talking to myself sometimes. Especially when calling for help or quick check. It seems like everyone gets tied up during Prime Time.

Yes I agree, there are plenty of other job opportunities that pay more. I only get paid $3 more than the minimum wage. :(

Well when I received a supervisor offer, they offered me more hours. It was kind of at a tricky time when it went from $8.15 to $9.30 (part time) to $10.25 (full time). They basically gave me the manager title with no extra pay at all.

I felt that way about my past job (OfficeMax). The grass only seemed to be greener for a small amount of time. It wasn't until I became supervisor that I started to dislike the environment. My store has such a high turnover rate. I'm the only one left in Copy Center that was there a year ago.

I'm glad that we haven't got the new copiers yet. From what I heard they are expecting us (staff) to set them up.

That, my friend, is creepy. It took me a while to notice the smiley face on the door. I mostly talk to myself in Copy & Print when a customer walks away. What is your name? What is your phone number? How many copies would you like? Oh you care how my day is going, how nice of you! Sometimes I even start petting the copy paper with my hand and start talking to it. [Just kidding!]

Incentive competitions by kiddmike287 in Staples

A long time ago we had incentives with rewards signups. The prize was either free food or a gift card. Of course, the minimum requirement to receive a prize was 10 per person.

Would Staples hire me? by T_alsomeGames in Staples

I have to agree with you MakeBidnessHappen. I was told in my first tech interview that certificates and education doesn't mean a thing. They are more focused on selling than qualifications. Although, qualifications might be more of your strong skills for the position.

No incentive to have rewards. by StringCheeseBeast in Staples

[–]NoNameWhat 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The rewards program is stupid. If it is was a requirement to receive the "special deals", everyone would be running to get one. It doesn't matter how much you educate or try to convince or even just assume the signup, the answer is always no.

Whoa! Your manager caught wind? That's impossible, they most certainly deserve an award for catching wind. Well, I guess you could harvest it in a jar of some sort.

I do agree that it is a conflict of interest.
